I drafted Fields and Richardson as my Qb’s in my 14 team short bench league. I’m likely going to be 2-1, but my QB situation is stinky. Can’t afford to carry another QB, so probably need to cut one soon. Fields will likely not be tradeable. Fingers crossed that Richardson can go this week, or my hand will be forced.
I drafted Austin Ekeler and Josh Jacobs 1 + 2. Last two weeks have been rough for me
I also drafted Chris Godwin over Mike Evans
I need Jalen Hurts to rush for another 2 TDs tomorrow night (and throw for 300+ yards)
One of my competitors has Fields and Howell at QB. I have Tua, Cousins, and Richardson at QB, so I figure maybe he might bite on a QB upgrade in exchange for RB help. Opener was Richardson for Breece Hall. I think it’s a fair offer, but I doubt he accepts.
Hmm, no response to my trade offer but I know they were online yesterday and looking for a QB since they swapped out Howell for Stroud on the waiver wire. If they don’t respond today I’m pulling the offer. I don’t care if you don’t like my trade offer and decline, but I get annoyed by no response.
They countered with Hall for Cousins. I’ll think on that a little bit. Of course I will respond today.
You can safely drop Fields in any of your leagues. It’s not going to turn around.
I accepted.
Nice trade
Williams (LAR) was a the right choice for me.
Allgeier was the right choice (benched)
Waddle and Cooper not doing well. Other WR I have are yet to play, so we’ll see how bad I choose. Ridley did better than those two combined
Started Tua over Carr. Right choice, but both are stinking it.
I made some really bad decisions this week
Atwell over Collins (or Sutton or McLaurin)
LaPorta over Amdrews
Also chose KC defense over Baltimore, this might be still the right decision
Looking like this decision was wrong too.
Hopefully you just got all the bad decisions out in one week (that’s what I try to tell myself when I have those weeks…).
So, this is the time of year when my team gets fucked up by my draft picks: Bye Weeks.
I have Meier (SEA) who is on Bye, so placed a waiver order for two kickers, and dumped Amari Cooper (dropping him on both orders, because it’s allowed and I should get one of the kickers, and I don’t need both) who is also on Bye but whom I have not used.
I’ve got the top two RBs in my league (McC and Mostert), and yet I have Williams (LAR, 4th in league) projected for 14 points vs PHI vs Mostert’s 10. Gonna start Mostert (vs NYG, after what I watched last night), let him fail me.
OK, so tell me just how good these ESPN projections are supposed to be: Bottom three teams, post-draft pre-season, are now in the top five. Top team has stayed the top team, though.
Checking top team out: all his starters are in the top 11 for their position. Two more on the bench.
It’s all a crapshoot
That’s not what the brochure said. “Be the multi-billionaire owner of your own team! Threaten to move to a different city if they don’t build a new stadium and give you all the revenues from it!”
If your league has a waiver priority that resets weekly, no reason not to burn it every week. If waiver priority doesn’t reset, I’d save it for something more important than a K. Just grab any K after they clear waivers.
As for how accurate the projections are in general, not all that great. You want guys that get a lot of touches as on average that generates points, but most scoring is pretty TD dependent
Waiver order is based on “worst to first” at that point. I’m not wasting anything by getting a kicker. I need one, because I have only one. After this week, I’ll dump that kicker, because Meier is doing well (except those misses last night) and SEA doesn’t seem to produce TDs in the red zone.
So far I only start Fields when he stinks, and bench him when he goes off. LOL.
If you could start doing that on Sundays… That’d be Greeeaaaat…
