Week 12;Packers@Eagles;Packers Eagles
2/2 this week on STPs (Bills over Lions, Cowboys over Giants). Will we make it 3/3 (Dolphins over Texans)?
Going into SNF, here are this week’s winning scenarios:
Packers, Steelers - @Grizz; Runner up: @Vorian_Atreides; VALSA: @redearedslider
Packers, Colts - A695814; Runners up: Carrie’s Carebears, @TheArbitrary, @twig93, @JudgeSmails, @Jahiegel; VALSA: @3rookie
Eagles, Steelers - A695814; Runners up: Carrie’s Carebears, @TheArbitrary, @JudgeSmails, @IPD; VALSA: @3rookie
Eagles, Colts - A695814; Runners up: Carrie’s Carebears, @TheArbitrary, @JudgeSmails; VALSA: @3rookie
Interestingly, Packers & Colts winning will result in zConsensus being in sole possession of first place this week. However, zConsensus has been disqualified due to the recent sheep shearing controversy. I’m sure you heard all about it. It was all over the news. It was pretty baaaaad.
Thank you for the last three sentences. Made my morning. And really glad zConsensus isn’t winning in a lambslide.
I’m a mutton for pun-ishment

It’s a shame that four of you entered after this numbersnuts. Now, he gets the Week 12 award, Random Poster’s Lucky 7, instead of you. The default, which he’d better accept or I’m going to break some fingers, will be to add all seven points to his Week 13 Texans over Browns pick.
Additionally, @3rookie, being in sole possession of last place this week, has won the VALSA (VA’s Lion’s Share Award) which gives him a limited-time-COFP which, if used, must be declared before TNF for a Week 13 game.
@UltimateAnyone, @Mountainhawk , & @TheArbitrary used a COFP to change their Packers pick to the Eagles.
@Kid_Rock used a COFP to change his Rams pick to the Chiefs.
@Vorian_Atreides used his Jables’ Home Field Advantage award to add three points to all of his away team picks this week. His Ravens & Cardinals picks turned into Jaguars & Chargers picks for two extra wins.
@UltimateAnyone & @IPD used their Choose Your Own Adventure Award to declare JHFA this week. Their Ravens pick turned into a Jaguars pick and an extra win

No STP™s in the coming week, but we were three for three this week:
17-8 so far this season with 6 to go.
For the VALSA, I will switch from the Broncos to the Ravens
Noted…making it an unofficial STP™.
You know you deserved your last place COFP when you can use it to create a new STP for the following week.
Another Proposal for the Award Committee’s Consideration: The Lone Wolf Award
Award: If you are the only one to have the winning team for a given game, you win a COFP.
Considerations/thoughts for implementation:
- Is this easy to monitor? (If not, then forget it.)
- Must it be based on original picks? (I’d say yes - doesn’t seem right if one could back into it, especially at the end of the season when you might do it on purpose going for the win.)
- Maybe the only potential Lone Wolves would be established at the beginning of season, and if someone joins the Lone Wolf later on, it was “hunted” and no longer is eligible?
- If you can back into it, maybe Lone Wolves are only eligible until Week 14ish?
- Is this too big of an award? Maybe you need 2 Lone Wolf wins for a COFP? (That would seem counter-intuitive, I will admit, needing a pair of Lone Wolves.)
- I think it’d be more interesting to announce the Lone Wolf results after the week is done, because then it’s more of a surprise to find out you were a Lone Wolf (unless the rest of y’all are already tracking everyone’s picks, in which case that might explain why I tend to be in the bottom half… well, that and possibly my less-than-stellar winner-picking abilities, of course.)
At the very least, if the intern is looking for an off-season project, I’d be curious to know what the Lone Wolf records were in the past - that would be good to know if this is too generous of an award or not.
I think I like that one better than the VALSA. But I don’t object to VALSA. I just think Lone Wolf is a fun idea.
Thank you for your submission. The Awards Committee will consider it during their off season retreat.
COFP Week 13: Please change Texans to Deshaun Watson
From the not-so-reliable-Reliant-Energies to the guy who looks so tense he could really use a massage, don’t you think?
