A strange award. Sometimes, the only winning move is not to play.
COFPs have always existed. Back in Jables’ days they were the weekly award…except for the weeks when Jables had a different award. Jables was a Jenius.
'd’d
I’m not saying it was the intern. I’m just saying that it might have been the intern.
There were no awards the first year. I earned that title in minutes, never had to think again. Still have the mug to prove it.
Week 11 COFP Colts to Eagles
I reject the default and will use JHFA to add three points to away teams in Week 11
According to archive.ph, however, there were awards for the weekly winners…back then they were called “rewards”, however…
In addition, there will be rewards for the weekly winners. Whichever player or players compile the best record in a given week will be given a chance to improve their standing in the game. I’m thinking that the standard reward would be the ability to change one of their picks for any upcoming game remaining on the season, as long as they use the reward within the first 2 weeks (I would say 1 week, but this allows for vacation schedules) they got it. So if you have the best record in week 1, you can change your prediction for any future game, so long as you do it before the week 3 games begin. Be careful in using your rewards though, it could come back to bite you if you pick the wrong game!
That would be the standard reward for most weeks, but I’ve got a few other ideas brewing on different rewards to use in a few random weeks of the season, nothing that would affect how you make your predictions now.
Sounds like the VALSA . . .
noted
Noted…they also, of course, now receive the benefit of JHFA.
I imagine that I ought to (mis)use my COFP straightaway, lest I should forget and inadvertently fail to make a mistake, so let’s go with the Chargers → Chiefs for this wk (11), if I may, please.
Going into the night game, here are this week’s winning (& losing) scenario(s):
Chiefs, 49ers - @Carrie’s Carebears
Chiefs, Cardinals - @Carrie’s Carebears; VALSA: @redearedslider
Chargers, [49ers, Cardinals] - @3rookie

Congratulations to Carrie’s Carebears for his second win of the season & winning the Week 11, Random Poster’s Lucky 7
RPL7
Random Poster’s Lucky 7 : If you win this award you will have seven points to distribute to improve the scores of your chosen teams. You may spread it among as many teams & weeks as you desire. Only whole-points may be used. (E.g., you chose team A to beat team B, team C to beat team D, team E to beat team F, and team G to beat team H. You added 3 points to team A and 2 points to team C and 1 point to team E and 1 point to team G. Team A loses 23-21, team C loses 23-20, team E loses 23-22, and team G wins 42-0. In your case team A would turn out to be a win, team C is still a loss, team E turns out to be a tie, and you wasted points on team G since it was a win regardless.)
The default will be to add all seven points to his Week 12 Cardinals over Chargers pick. He may reject this default by declaring his intentions on how to use the award before kickoff of TNF. He has also won the Change one future pick award.
Since misery loves company, there is no VALSA (VA’s Lion’s Share Award) award.
This week…
COFPs:
@Grizz changed his Colts pick to the Eagles.
A695814 got lucky and changed his Packers pick to the Titans.
@Ezekial_Cumberland, @Vorian_Atreides, & @Jahiegel changed their Chargers pick to the Chiefs.
@Kid_Rock changed his Rams pick to the Saints.
CYOA:
@OutdoormanNowActuary used his Choose Your Own Adventure award to add three points to his Away teams’ scores. This turned his Bears over Falcons pick to a tie…and is the difference between him being in sole possession of first place or having to share the honor (or target on his back) with Grizz.
@Vorian_Atreides used his VALSA award to change his Cowboys pick to the Vikings. It was a nail-biter to see if it would fall his way or not…alas, an extra loss.

Rams to Chiefs please
Packers to Eagles, s’il vous plait.
Noted and also noteworthy is that matchup now loses the JHFA benefit. I’m sure you won’t regret either of those consequences.
p.s., according to my TPS reports, that was your last COFP…until you win another one.
La demande a été notée.
Merci beaucoup, monsieur nombres.
