20 Questions Game17

Ok, I’m thinking of a thing.

Is it larger than a shoebox

  1. John.S.Mill - Is it larger than a shoebox? Yes

Is it alive?

  1. John.S.Mill - Is it larger than a shoebox? Yes
  2. Celalta - Is it alive? No

Would you have been able to see it 300 years ago?

Yeah - just trying to break from the normal questions.

I like it. I’m going to wait until it’s answered to ask another question.

  1. John.S.Mill - Is it larger than a shoebox? Yes
  2. Celalta - Is it alive? No
  3. soyleche - Would you have been able to see it 300 years ago? Yes

Good question, BTW! Suspect that the answer will prove especially helpful in narrowing it down.

If it something that tends to stay put?

By this is this I mean to distinguish between, on the one hand, things like an oven or a house, that stay in place when used, and clothing or a tent, that get moved around when in use – even though both clothing and a tent may spend most of their hours in a drawer in your home. I would also say that a hand-tool, like a hammer, is mobile, being taken from job site to job site, whereas a cooking pot stays put, as its place of use is very close to it’s place of storage, and it typically is only used in one place.

There must be a better way to word this.

  1. John.S.Mill - Is it larger than a shoebox? Yes
  2. Celalta - Is it alive? No
  3. soyleche - Would you have been able to see it 300 years ago? Yes
  4. Lucy - Is it something that tends to stay put? Yes

*Re: 4… see Lucy’s definition of “tends to stay put” that would be “yes” for cooking pot and oven and “no” for clothing and tent.

Is it a natural landmark?

that’s specific :scream:

Fingers crossed! I’m thinking if it’s larger than a breadbox and would have been able to see it 300 years ago, it may be something to do with nature.

Hopefully a mountain, desert, jungle…
