When trying to decide what to do with the DOJ wanting to drop the indictment, the judge appointed a lifelong Republican to create an independent review the material. The review found no indication that the prosecution was political.
Mainstream Democrats are trying to pretend not to understand why people support Mamdami.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said Monday that she initially thought the crowdâs âtax the richâ chant while she spoke at a rally for New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani the day prior was instead a âLetâs go Billsâ chant, referencing the NFLâs Buffalo Bills.

Did Adams agree with our Glorious Leader, or was it more a function of our Glorious Leader making him an offer he couldnât refuse?
At that point, it was him agreeing.
This could go either here or authoritarian government: From yesterdayâs NY Post:
House Republicans are exploring ways to prevent Zohran Mamdani from ever being sworn in as mayor even if he prevails in Tuesdayâs election by using the Constitutionâs âinsurrection clause,â The Post has learned.
The New York Young Republican Club is pushing to prevent the NYC mayoral frontrunner from taking the oath of office Jan. 1 under an idea floated this summer.
It cites language in the post-Civil War 14th Amendment to the Constitution barring from office anyone who âengaged in insurrection or rebellionâ or who has âgiven aid or comfort to the enemies.â The group argues that Mamdaniâs own statements calling to resist ICE could violate the prohibition.
NYC isnât much of a republican stronghold. I wouldnât have much fear of that working here.
Nothing better to do, like their actual job, than to define enemies and fuck with them.
In the last poll, Mamdaniâs lead has shrunk to just 4 points. In a straight matchup with Cuomo, he loses by 5.
He has now reached out to Jewish leaders in NYC, asking for some photo ops and/or endorsements. They are all turning him down.
We may see Cuomo in an upset!
Predictit seems pretty sold on Mamdani
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said he would âimpose a 100 percent tariffâ on New Yorkers moving to Texas.
âAfter the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC,â the Republican wrote on X on Monday night.
I wonder if ranked voting will help Cuomo get some of the Sliwa votes as he will probably be Sliwa voters 2nd choice.
I donât understand what a tariff on people moving means. Heâd tax their moving people? Their Uhaul?
NYC only has ranked choice voting in primaries.
It means heâs a dumbass who wants attention.
It means that many voters are idiots.
In normal times, that would have been a good Onion headline.
