I think Harris needed more time. Harris was still learning and got comfortable with what happened in the debate so she thought she just had to trash Trump.
At nationwide level she hasn’t won anything in the Ds (primaries) or outside. She is still green.
I wonder if she will step out of politics now. It’s hard to move down.

In all seriousness, she’s not on the short list of people in danger of going to prison. Schiff, Smith, Milley, and Esper are higher on that list.

The only way Biden would have won is if both sides got fed up with two old guys on the ballot…and even then, I think Trump’s cult power would have won the day.

Smith will be fired if he doesn’t resign first. And that’s also if he can’t pull a surprise move before inauguration. That’s one thing I have been wondering about as well. What happens if Trump gets arrested before inauguration?
Inlfation seems like the key issue that turned voters to Trump. Biden was closer to the cause than Harris and even before the debate disaster was trailing Trump because of it.

Nope. However, I think there were a handful of D’s who could have triumphed, even in a shortened primary cycle. Could you imagine if in 2023 the DNC said to Tulsi Gabbard, Corey Booker, and Elizabeth Warren, “Hey, we think any one of you could stave of Donald Trump. We’re going to put Biden out to pasture and you three will have the next year to get independents behind you, which we think is totally possible.”
Hands down, any one of them would have beaten DT.
