Would Biden have won?

So, 2 new things in recent days about Biden.

1 audio of classified papers interview leaked, and according to reports it sounds bad, relating to his mental acuity.

2 metastasized prostate cancer. Not as bad as it could be, because it seems to be hormone sensitive, which aids in treatment.

5-year survival times for his type of cancer at 80 years old are not terrible. 50% or so.

I suspect the stresses of the job really aged him and he deteriorated much faster.

They were comparing a previous study by Huynh-Le et al regarding localized prostate cancer to overall mortality in men of that age. Biden’s is not localized, it has metastasized to the bone. It is 9 out of 10 on the aggressiveness scale, but may respond well to treatment.

I became knowledgeable on prostate cancer after I was diagnosed with it in 2010. After 8 years of “watch and wait” I had surgery when my Gleason score hit 7 and my biopsy showed it had become more aggressive. Biden’s Gleason is 9 and has metastasized: that is not an optimistic scenario.

I hope Trump at least has the decency to stop the Biden insults but he may not have that level of control.

Nah, he gets Jr to say stuff like that

Please tell me Don Jr’s post is not real.

Not just real, but pinned so everyone will see it. It’s still up.

Everyone called “Doctor” is a Medical Doctor.

It is known.

My favorite was when Dr Laura was mocking Jill Biden for using the doctor title given Biden wasn’t a medical doctor.

What a callous idiot Don Jr is then.

I knew he was an idiot but this is beyond what I would have expected even from him.

You haven’t paid close enough attention to Junior.

(That’s probably something you should be thankful for.)

Don Jr may have looked at the MAGA responses to the Fox News coverage on Biden’s prostate cancer and realized he was in safe territory making his comments. The Fox viewers responses were appalling. Sad that Anerican politics has gotten so vitriolic.

Reading the unmoderated comments on any news website accessible to the general public is a great way to destroy one’s faith in humanity (regardless of whether the news website caters to the left or the right).

For the prostate cancer conspiracy theorists

He should have kept his promise to serve only one term and not have attempted to run for President the second time.
Plenty of time to set others on the path with an open primary. But no, had to fuck it up.

He could have resigned earlier, say Jan '24, giving Harris time to assert herself as President, making (American) history as well. But no.

He never actually promised to do that, but agree it would have been the best way to handle the situation.

During the 2020 campaign, he explicitly said he would not run in 2024. It was part of how his campaign addressed concerns regarding his age.

I recall it being discussed and he wanted to be a bridge to the next generation or something like that, but from what I remember he was weaselly about making a firm commitment to not run again.

I thought that was all part of how he built his coalition in the 2020 primary around Super Tuesday when others were dropping out.
