Worst popular candies

I don’t hate those, although if there were pretty much any other option available I’d probably take it.

I don’t eat a lot of brownies, but if I did I’d buy one of these bad boys:

I have one of these:

The brownies tend to stick, so they a a bit of a pain to get out. It’s also not easy to clean. Makes decent brownies though.

Chocolate covered cherries were mom’s favorite so I always have a soft spot for them. But can totally understand why others wouldn’t care for them.

Thread on candy hijacked by cookie people…

But #chipsahoy crew here.

I thought that was the one that soyleche didn’t especially like, but it seems he had a different pan.

That exact pan sat in my “saved” list for years while I waited to see if the price would come down but it never did and I always decided it wasn’t worth it every time a made an Amazon purchase in that time. I took it off my “saved” list after reading soyleche’s review but I guess he had a different pan.

Sorry about that

I wonder if you could DIY this by placing metal cookie cutters or a small pan inside the larger brownie pan. Buying a dedicated $30 brownie pan is a bit of a tough sell, IMO.

No worries; I didn’t realize there were so many options!

I love chocolate covered bing cherries: it’s that sugary, gooey crap they put in the middle with the cherry that ruins it for me!!

Yeah, chocolate is good and cherries are good and the two flavors go well together. Like cherries with chocolate cake is a good combo.

So chocolate covered cherries should be awesome, but they aren’t.

They’re next level beyond awesome. I could eat, and have in fact eaten, an entire box in one go.

My Facebook feed put up a link for homemade chocolate covered cherries.

One of my faves is what we always called “jelly royals.”

Raspberry jelly in a chocolate shell.

A big Jewish candy, they are all over the place during Chanukah.

Yeah, I think those things fit in the “worst popular candies” section along with the marshmallow twisty things. But they are still a step above halvah.

the marshmallow twisty things are great!

also a fan of chocolate covered jelly

This sounds tasty, but the name reminds me of Brach’s royals which I haven’t had in forever but loved as a kid. They’re caramels wrapped around a flavored center, mmm maple!

Yes, sorry for not making that more clear. Substituting “raisins” for “chips” everywhere in that quote. Subbing in a sentence about leaving them out is the only time it’s appropriate to substitute raisins for chocolate chips.

What are “the marshmallow twisty things”? I am a big fan of anything marshmallow!

They are chocolate covered marshmallows that have twisty shapes. I can also tell you who lies in Grant’s tomb.
