Must have been asleep on guess 1. Then almost missed it on guess due since showed up as due east of the Middle East, and it’s hard for me to realize how far north or south that includes when there is also a lot of east-west direction.
Does this projection make my northern islands look fat?

Total luck, as far as being right on guess 1. Started to guess Washington DC, but then decided direction/distance result would be more helpful if I tried something in the middle of the country.
I saw an episode of amazing race that looked just like it.
on WTUS i didn’t recognize as a state capital building, but thought Parthenon except tower was wrong. Large urban vista had me start at CA, but i got there in 3. And amusingly , Parthenon was landmark.
