whatās the over/under on how long it takes NYT to put up the following:
- banner ads at the bottom of the page
- popup ads before you can even play
- partial paywall where you can do something like play the dayās word for free but have to subscribe to play past games or hard mode
- full paywall
Iām pretty much oblivious to banner ads. Popup ads are much more annoying, might be a deal-breaker for me, but probably not. Iāve never played past games, and wouldnāt pay to get an asterisk to prove hard mode. Full paywall, no thanks.

- Donāt care if under 20 seconds
- Donāt care if not on main game
- Donāt care if I never play again

All the words seem to tend to common use
my point is that playable words is a bigger list than the list of what the actual answers are
Iāve used unusual words as guesses to eliminate/detect letters, knowing that Iām āwastingā a try to get that info

Well, I donāt even use āhard modeā. Iāll play whatever letters I am trying for if I can find a word it will accept.

- I have been told, by a source that I consider reliable, that the WORDLE word of the day will never be a 4 letter noun made plural by an added āSā

I was pretty sure my 3rd word wasnāt a word when I entered it, but Merriam-Webster and Wordle say it is. I probably wouldnāt have chosen it had I known it was really a word, but it worked out ok.

I donāt think my 2nd guess would have been allowed in hard mode, because I repeated a letter I knew was wrong from my first guess. But it helped me get the word in guess #3 (mostly by figuring out correct positions of the letters I knew)
