I think you meant this as a joke, but my husband was exposed to covid either giving blood or getting vaccinated.
He gave platelets every two weeks, and the red cross tested him for antibodies to both the spike protein (which you get from infection or vaccination) and also to the nucleocapsid protein (which you get from infection, but not from the vaccine.) He was negative for both the Sunday he gave blood. He got vaccinated the next day. He didn’t leave the house, except to walk around the neighborhood, wearing a mask, until two weeks later, when he gave blood again and turned positive to both.
We thought it was just an error, but he stayed positive to both until the red cross stopped testing. He didn’t get sick, but he got exposed to covid somewhere.
I’m scheduled for the new bivalent booster next Thursday. Will let you know if it feels any different than before.

Well, there are some restrictions. You have to have completed your primary series and at least 2 months since your last prick. And 12+. I think you satisfy that criteria.
Yeah i last got a vaccine in november 2021 so i qualify.
Looked to see if our local pharmacy has the booster yet. It’s still saying I’m not eligible because I already had my first booster, so guess not.
I’ll probably wait a bit, until walk-ins are available. That ship has probably already sailed, but maybe a brewery will host a pop-up booster event and offer a free beer. Short of that, I’ll accept store credit where I can buy a candy bar, like for my first booster.
Walgreens is the only national chain I see that is explicitly saying it’s offering updated booster appointments. For those who have booked an appt, is that who you used, or are there others?

Good call. Our local pharmacies are Kroger and CVS so I only checked those, but we have a Walgreens close ish and I was able to book an appointment for Friday morning. I plan to spend Saturday in bed. Last time I was boosted I binged Squid Game. Wonder what I’ll binge this time.
