My son’s appointment was cancelled, but they called back later that day and rescheduled him for a week later with Moderna.

Wow, I appreciate your thoughtful discussion of that article. The doctor was not my personal physician, and may have been wanting to encourage me more than giving me his medical opinion. Or he may have read other studies. I’ll still email him.

One data point:
A friend of mine works in healthcare and had Covid last Fall. She has a blood disease and some concerns about the vaccine so she’s holding off. But she works at a research hospital, so her doctor is monitoring her antibodies to track how long they stay up and adding that data to their research. 6 months and counting so far. Good news for her, I guess.

But not proactively – NSAIDs blunt the immune response, and while that’s unlikely to be a problem if your immune response is so robust that you feel completely miserable, you don’t want to take it unless you need to.

Huh. Now I have a email and VM from Kroger saying I can come to my original appt and get a 2 dose shot. So confusing. I’ll just keep the appt next Tuesday that I already have
I noticed that RideAid in Western Washington switched to Pfizer right away after having been exclusively J&J for the past few weeks.
Hopefully that means my friend’s appointment for next week is not canceled.

COVID Vaccine hesitancy map. You can scroll in to see your county. Mine has a 9% hesitancy rate with 4% very hesitant.
12% and 5% here
11% and 5% for my current county, and 12% and 5% for my former county. pretty surprised my former county which has a lot of republican covid-deniers is so low, assuming this is even right.
Yeah, what the hell, staten island must be way higher than my county
