I don’t really have a problem with him selling drugs. But I think he crossed the line with the contract killings (whether they actually happened or not) and has therefore revealed himself to be a dangerous person.
This guy is reportedly back at home:

My lack of surprise that a January 6 insurrectionist was on illicit testosterone supplements.
Trump really has unified the conspiracy coalition behind him. And some good people too.
(…although I’ve seen other sources indicating Rowland was granted clemency, rather than a pardon…)
Attorney Alex Little said he supplied President Donald Trump with a binder filled with court documents and testimonials to convince him to release the couple.
And money. Otherwise, tRump would have to read.
Michael Grimm, best known for threatening to throw a reporter from a balcony.
“Here is our purchase order for $30M of Trumpcoin…”
Sucks to be George Santos. In the 21st century, 15 former Republican members of Congress have been convicted of felonies. Trump has pardoned 9 of them.
By comparison, 9 former Democratic members of congress have been convicted of felonies, and Trump has pardoned 0.
The whole idea of Presidential pardons is ridiculous. We need an amendment to get rid of it.
Or every pardon the President makes costs him 1 lap around the White House property
Drop down and gimme 20
The executive having the power of pardon is one of the checks and balances intended to guard against tyranny. If the justice system runs amok, a pardon can (theoretically) remedy the situation.
Of course, having checks and balances assumes there will be sufficient responsible, reasonably wise, adults in place to exercise them appropriately. That’s where present-day America is failing.
Yup, the remedy for the abuse of any presidential authority is impeachment.
Impeachment is for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”, as per the Constitution. If it can be shown that a pardon was issued specifically in exchange for money, then the president can be impeached. If the money was given freely, and the president pardoned someone later, out of gratitude, then it wouldn’t warrant impeachment.
There needs to be the figurative smoking gun.
And, a majority in Congress and a supermajority in the Senate.
Trump is counting on the latter and thus does whatever he wants, like a brat.
It’s worth noting that “high crimes and misdemeanors” are whatever Congress says they are.

That’s an interesting precedent possibly being set.
