What's the proper way to do a three way?

3 ways are so boring now.

Go to Germany for a real sex party.

From reading previous posts it seems like the Canadians are getting freaky with the poutine so :whynotboth.jpg:

Anyway, using the definition of three way as a regional dish made with 3 items, my favorite is a New Mexico three way. Chicken enchiladas with red and green chile. And a margarita, which is also a 3 way (tequila, triple sec and lime)

I thought that was “chicken enchiladas Christmas style”?

Sure, only if you want to sound like a local.

My daughter (the local) suggested I get them on the side because they can be hotter than expected. They were and I didn’t. I was sweating pretty good by the end of the meal. But it burned so good.

Coffee not going with … anything… that doesn’t even make sense. How do you warm up if you’re cold or cool down if you’re hot if not by drinking hot or iced coffee?

You are clearly not from the Northwest!

Guess you’ve never met a Mormon?

No, I have, but for a coffee drinker to say it doesn’t go…

Come to think of it I went to a Seattle’s Best Coffee with a Mormon co-worker one hot summer day in the Northwest. I had an iced coffee and she had something chocolatey that didn’t have any coffee in it.

Speaking of which… can Mormons have brewed cacao?

I would think it was caffeine violation as well

But Mormons can have caffeinated soda, I think.

maybe, I didn’t think they did

Three way? Beer, Wine, Whiskey
Beer as I grill, the smoke billows over the house and deck.
Red wine with a rare steak, grill seared taters and veg with a butter sauce.
Whiskey with a single cube back on the deck to watch the sunset.

At last, someone I can agree with on this thread.

It’s not caffeine, it’s coffee (and tea). I don’t know why.

Actually, the original language is “hot drinks”, but it’s interpreted as specifically things made from the coffee bean and the tea leaf (hot or cold). Again - I don’t know why.

The official prohibition is coffee and tea. The LDS says that since caffeinated soda wasn’t mentioned, it’s OK. Some Mormons choose to interpret it as a general prohibition of all caffeinated beverages, under the belief that they would have been mentioned had they been a thing when the pronouncement was made.

These are not the three ways I’m looking for

So taken literally, cold brew coffee should be ok, since it was never hot, but I know most (all?) Mormons don’t see it that way.

I would think that if it’s interpreted as drinks made from coffee beans or tea leaves then brewed cacao would be ok?

How strict is the no tea thing? I worked with an LDS guy who picked up drinking yerba mate on his mission in South America, which I found a little odd but never felt comfortable asking him about.
