Had to google. It says they are ‘popular in the Midwest and inter mountain west,’ but I grew up in KS and lived in CO for years, never heard of these. Maybe it’s an Albany expression.
Half an Italian sub from Jersey Mike’s. Usually get the sub supreme, but wanted to try something different today. I think I prefer my usual order, but it wasn’t bad.
I never heard of them until the internet. I add diced ham and mixed veggies and call it a meal.
My grandmother makes these, from the Midwest. She adds corn flakes on top.
Assorted leftovers: 3 garlic chicken wings, 2 shrimp dumplings, 1 mini banana, 1 cup of chicken and rice soup.
My husband’s birthday dinner is tonight, so I am skipping lunch to save as much room as possible for beef carpaccio, steak with bearnaise, and bread.
Sonic chicken strips with chick fil A dipping sauce.
Beans & Rice with cheese. (Leftovers)
A sub from the Algonquin Sub Shop, also referred to as A.S.S. Smoked turkey, ham, smoked gouda, and Russian mustard.
leftover NYE, Ribs and M&C ( with burnt ends)
Veggie Plate: roasted sweet potatoes, mushrooms in some kind of sauce, steamed green beans.

There were a whole bunch of sandwiches left over from a meeting. Free lunch.
today’s meeting??
Lol. I’m famous for being person who will eat stuff past it’s best by date, but, yeah, they were nice and fresh. I just went back looking for more and they were either snagged or put in the refrigerator. I would have had a nice salad, too, but there was nothing to put it in or on and it never dawned on me until today that I don’t have a plate or bowl at work. One of each is now on my to-buy list.
Tuesday!

Was craving breakfast for lunch so I went to the local Tim Hortons where I’m working today (different location bc my usual building has heat issues). This Timmy Ho location is kind of depressing feeling. But my breakfast wrap was tasty enough. And the app had a coupon for free medium beverage with purchase, so I got a free vanilla almond latte out of it.
Never heard it called Timmy Ho.
I think it’s a common phrase in the Buffalo area.
