Yeah pizza here too. After my spouse and I had a conversation about not eating cheese or processed meats, I catch them grating cheese over pizza. LIke, are you TRYING to kill me?
Mozzerella! The Silent Killer!

Mozzerella! The Silent Killer!
Lol. Pizza, as well. And I had it for breakfast, too!
Tzatziki/hummus & pit and grilled calamari at a good Greek place!! Opa!!!
Pupusas and tamales at the Salvadoran festival tonight. Patronal feast of El Salvador today. Yummy!
listen, if it’s mozzarella that takes me out, so be it. far better to die young, satisfied by the regular enjoyment of a creamy alfredo, than to live longer and suffer.
I want to go to my granddaughter’s wedding. say 30 years. That’s past average life expectancy so gotta start taking measures.
Our German friends were visiting this weekend, and they prepared both a German brunch for breakfast and a potato dumplings, chicken with vegetables dinner. Herrencreme and Bee Sting cake for dessert. My whole family was there, plus a few guests in addition to our German friends, so cross-post to Happy Thoughts. Imma go pass out blissfully full.
Splurged on sushi from one of the best sushi restaurants near us. My older son and I like sushi, younger son and husband don’t. We got the party boat that serves 3-4 and he will make sure there aren’t any leftovers.
Tried octopus and salmon roe for the first time. The roe was way too big and texturally I didn’t like it. The octopus was too chewy. Both tasted fine, but I won’t be ordering again. I’m fine with the smaller roe (masago) nigiri though.
Whole branzino
Greek salad with shaved striploin. Taking half home 'cuz it’s yuuuuuge!!!
I’ve got to present in an hour to half of the C suite, including the CEO, it’s been in the works for a long time. If I survive that, we are going to the raw bar at 4:00 for happy hour / dinner. I know what you all are thinking, Kansas must have the best oysters in the country! It’s actually a really great place and yes, the seafood is fresh. And they make a bloody Mary with fish sauce in it, highly recommend that addition.
I dropped my boat off in storage at my son’s place. And lo and behold, a huge puffball mushroom growing on the front lawn. Screeched to a halt, jumped out, and absconded with it.
I just made a huge pot of cream of puffball mushroom soup. Made with my homemade soup broth and garlic from my garden.
It’s delicous, and what I’m having for supper. And there’s a ton of it, so I’ll be distributing to my neighbours as well.
Every wild mushroom seems like a crazy gamble to not accidentally end up dead…
Chinese take out.
where I am identifying a puffball can be done with 100% certainty.
So I nabbed this puffball. Then I though, gee, what if the farmer wanted it. Then I though nah, farmers don’t eat that stuff.
except the farmer was saving it, he wanted to try it lol. and I snagged it without asking. whoops lol
Italian sausage burger and some stuffing that was meant to go with a breast of turkey that I haven’t cooked yet.
veggie spring rolls, “bao”, humus and chip, and some cold cut meats at hotel Honors room.
wasn’t in mood for real dinner
2nd dinner. My daughter got home after working the late shift, so we cooked some frozen crab cakes and fried some eggs, at her request.
This is my absolute least favorite question and it keeps coming up EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
