Hey, there’s a sushi joint in town!!! You don’t have to go to the big city!! ![]()
Hot dogs with baked beans and corn on the cob.
Youse guys have corn on the cob already? Not even strawberry season here yet.
On the weekend we had rack of lamb. I dry brine it, insert julienne (matchstick shaped) garlic and then coat it with pepper, lime juice, rosemary and olive oil. Delicious but expensive as a $31 rack (from Costco) will be enough for just two people.
Tonight we’re making up for it, as Costco had a sale on organic chicken and mozzarella ravioli - a $5 pack will feed 3 people.
The grocery store does, presumably the farmers markets don’t.
This is the beauty of Costco. Sure, I’ll get some prime steaks there once in a while, but then we’ll get a pot pie that’s probably like $2.50 per serving or whatever.
Making pizzas tonight!
It’s 95F outside, 78F inside and climbing, and we don’t have AC. I think it’ll be takeout tonight.
It’s only 83° here, and I’m doing pizzas on the grill instead of firing up the oven.
Might get Five Guys. My husband mentioned burgers earlier and that sounds pretty good right now
Grilled chicken, vegetables and rice.
had the kids etc over for supper because a belated birthday for me. Spouse orders pizza and does not get the type of pizza that I like. How does that make any sense?
The secret is not hidden in what you typed. It totally makes sense.
Lol, my life. Spouse does the grocery shopping and the cooking. And seems pretty happy with making stuff that she likes with a lot less consideration to what I like.
I could complain, but that seems like it might have unintended consequenses.
Our Five Guys closed. It was OK. Our main drag now is mainly Chicken this, Chicken that, five in a quarter-mile.
There is a fish place. One Jack in the Box. One The Habit. McDs and Carl’s are up the road a ways.
GF chicken katsu (sooo good!) and GF teriyaki chicken stir fried with vegetables. It’s nice the restaurant is only a couple of miles away.
Yeah, I think tonight’s run is getting put off until tomorrow.
As Click and Clack used to say: do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?

Chili cheese dog
Singular? Was it a big hot dog?
