Ha. This was us last night:
I have 20 and 18 year old sons at home, plus I teach at a university. I have no trouble getting rid of candy.
I picked some up after Halloween. I’m still deciding if I like it. Wish it had chocolate too.
Usually I get no trick-or treaters, the most ever here was I think 3. So, recently, I think it was last year I was not home for the designated trick-or-treat time and did not buy any candy. All well and good except that a little kid came by and knocked on my door on the actual October 31st Halloween. I didn’t like having to tell the kid that I had nothing for him so I will not skip buying candy again.
This year I got bags of mini Snickers and mini Butterfingers which are my go-tos. I supplemented this with a couple boxes of semi-healthy fruit bars which I can use as snacks for work.
Naturally I once again did not get any Trick-or-Treat visitors this year. You just can’t win.
I agree. I kinda like to eat them sandwiched together with a regular KitKat
Chocolate you like
Semi-healthy fruit snacks you like
Number of trick or treaters to share with = 0
30 candy bars was just about right. I think the family ate a few. We will have funky little Halloween toys for years to come.
You’ve reversed course on raisins, then?
Go add lotsa cumin to your chili.
