Replaced the kitchen faucet.
And didn’t get anywhere near as much lesson planning done as I thought I would.

Do you miss Ontario? How do you compare living in the west versus the east?
I miss Ontario but will never move back there unless some of my kids do.
Scenery-wise, the mountains, ocean and trees on the west coast are more spectacular than anything in Ontario.
Culturally, Toronto has more to offer in the arts scene than Vancouver but Toronto is overwhelmed with traffic. Toronto peaked in the 1970’s imo and has just become too big without the accompanying infrastructure. Vancouver air quality is much better than Toronto’s.
If we had not moved to Vancouver twenty years ago I might have retired to a charming smaller Ontario city with good train access to Toronto for sports and arts events. That assumes that our children stayed in Ontario as being close to them trumps all other considerations.

Beach Friday afternoon.
Beach Saturday morning, and back later in the afternoon to do some fishing.
Beach Sunday from 9 am to around 4 pm.
There were beers involved, too.
My beach day ended around 9 pm
Great concert Saturday night involving cover bands for the Eagles and Allman Brothers Band.
Guests over for dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Lots of fun, talking, and good food. Mrs G experimented with a mac and cheese with cauliflower instead of pasta, it will return. There seemed to be a lot of empty wine bottles in the trash this morning. I suppose having adult kids adds to the equation.
funny I have been experimenting with a Cauliflower au gratin, but with macaroni instead of vegetables

I brewed a cream ale (one that I most always have on tap at my homebrewery)
Also did an experiment beer with the spent grain from the cream ale. Trying for a hoppy, VERY light, beer (Like < 1% ABV).

I am going to guess white one was exam 2 (econ, interest theory, and finance), possibly 3 (actuarial models) and green one was exam 1 (probability) or 3.

Just here to talk about my Saturday.
Got up at 6 to go to visit some friends 2.5 hours away.
Left the house around 7.
Got 2 hours in and blew out the driver rear tire.
Spent 30-45 minutes changing it on the side of the road.
By the time I was done I was drenched from sweat with as hot as it was.
Friends were nice enough to meet us at the town we were closest to.
Kids played in a park we found as we caught up.
Ate lunch with them at McDonalds (instead of the home cooked meal we originally had planned)
Left to head home just after 12 but couldn’t drive over about 55 mph on the spare so took two lane roads all the way home. They did not go in a straight line either like the interstate so it took about three hours with two bathroom breaks and a feeding stop in there too.
Made it to a tire place back home just after 3. My parents had brought my truck and met us there so we could leave the car there to get new tires.
Wife transfers kids, car seats, teaching stuff, anything we need into the truck.
Go inside and they say they can have new tires on by the end of the day. I agree to that.
Waste 30 minutes at a Menards and get some stuff for the house and make it to 4 pm church.
Tire place calls during church the car is done.
Leave church and pick up the car and transfer stuff back into it.
Meet family for Saturday dinner.
Make it home just after 7.
Put kids to bed and made my wife and I some drinks.
It was the longest day I have had in a while.
