So, she’s looking to defect from your house, yet she will never realize it, because the story is now over?
I mean, she keeps putting notes inside the King (because she’s also seen “Stalag 17”) begging for asylum, but they are never read.
Finished Queen’s Gambit.
Quite good.
Love the Stalag 17 reference. One of my favorite all time movies.
The inspiration for Hogan’s Heroes
I love Peter Graves as a villain.
spoiler alert
Just started up “Titans” on HBO Max.
Previously had watched all of Doom Patrol.
Liking it so far. Definitely adult content (language + violence) but not a hard R or anything.
do i need to spoiler alert Citizen Kane?
You do realize that people are born unto this earth not knowing the ending of movies? And, that watching the movie is the optimal method of learning the ending?
And, that some of these people might be posters on this forum?
Asking for a friend, of course.
Not as big a reveal IMO
But don’t reveal
The Sting
Witness For The Prosecution
or The Sixth Sense
People who don’t know that Peter Graves is a villain in Stalag 17 probably will not recognize which actor in the film is Peter Graves.
So there ya go. I didn’t use his character’s name (because I didn’t remember it).
Seeing that it is revealed about 75% of the way in (not the last scene like other movies), it’s not that big a deal.
Roger, Oveur.
FWIW, I will spoiler ever Dickens novel. Because the “twist” is not the point of Dickens.
Also, the books are over 100 years old.
The same is true of Stalag 17, which was released in 1953. The “twist” is not much of a twist, nor really the point of the story. It leads to some interesting results, but what makes the movie great isn’t that “twist”.
Twist - pun intended?
and you are taking this way too seriously
Certainly don’t give the “twist” away for “The Crying Game”.

you mean that it was incredibly over rated?
FTR, the only Dickens novel I’ve read only once, and will never read again, is Oliver Twist. I hate that book.
I’ve read all the other ones multiple times.
imo, you’re giving away too much of a movie even if you just point out that there’s an important twist, as was just done for Crying Game, Sting, 6th Sense, etc
but there certainly should be a statute of limitations on this and it seems to me that 50 years must exceed it
What is a good show for a family to watch together? We just finished Avatar (regular and Kora). We’ve done Dragon Prince (from the makers of Avatar). Anything else along that vein that would be worth looking in to?
Have you done The Worst Witch with Mildred Hubble? That’s a good family friendly one with 3 seasons I think. Pretty sure it was the inspiration for Harry Potter.
