What are you watching (bingeing) these days?

Been running through a bunch of Netflix comedy specials that were either GG or Emmy nominated

Jamie Foxx
Ali Wong
Chris Rock
Amy Schumer
Adam Sandler
Trevor Noah
Wanda Sykes

Try Ronny Chiang, too.

I enjoy Trevor Noah. I usually don’t remember names but I read a book by him before knowing anything about him & my daughter showed me some of his videos. I sometimes listen to his podcast.

Was the book Born a Crime? Loved that book and Trevor.

Yes that’s the one.

Everyone in my family loved that one (and Trevor).

Loved Country Music on PBS. It was made in 2019 but it cuts off in 1996, as if country music died then. Overall it’s amazing but I was hoping to see Isbell, Dave & Gillian, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, and Sturgill.

Started up a re-watch of “Seinfeld.” Into Season 2.
Still watching “Loudermilk.”
Trying to finish up “The Bear,” which would have been faster if my wife kept watching with me. She gave up earlier this season, suffering from lack of comedy in this “comedy” series. The characters have crossed line from kooky insufferable to just plain insufferable.

there is a strong wonder of how any of them get through any string of days at all without acting out so badly that they get committed (or killed). maybe there’s more of that in the world than I want to believe

The Singing Detective (Youtube) 1986 British limited series

I got Paramount Plus at Thankgiving. I’m bingeing everything Taylor Sheridan.

I’d seen Yellowstone & 1883, but now I am through

1923 Season 1
Tulsa King (Seasons 1 & 2)
Lioness (Seasons 1 & 2)
Landman (up to date on season 1)
and now I’m starting Mayor of Kingstown

“In the Heart of the Sea” [Netflix] well-filmed story of Moby Dick. Chris Hemsworth was excellent.

Giving Ozark another try. Made it 5 episodes in once a couple years ago on a flight.

Nope, seems I only watched the first episode and Netflix had it wrong. I downloaded several but never watched them.

Really liked the second season of Silo so far. I binged several episodes in a row to catch up and had to have a nap at lunchtime. It was renewed for a 3rd and a final 4th season. The good news is that the books have already been written, so they know where they are headed.

Thank goodness it wasn’t made into a film, as originally planned. It’s an interesting world and I enjoy having the extra time to explore it.

Watched the ESPN 30 for 30 on Mike and the Mad Dog. Cool story and I had no idea they were the template for the modern sports radio show.

just did the '85 Bears and the NY Sack Exchange

I love the one on the '85 Bears and will have to add the NY Sack Exchange to my list

I want to find Ernie & Bernie

I treated myself
I treated myself to all three Deadpool movies for xmas. Yes, I’m on my 5th time watching all three in a day (I have it on quietly in the background whilst I work)
