Watching “Feud” Season 2 on Hulu. Season 1 was pretty awesome IMO.
Poll: Truman Capote an awful person or extremely awful person?

i started watching “I think you should leave”. sketch comedy, 15 min episodes (w 4-6 sketches per). doesn’t require full attention or memory
I found I had to be in the right mood to watch “I Think You Should Leave” but found it hilarious when I was.
My husband is watching Resident Alien. I’m almost following it, I’ve been in the room when he has watched it. He finds it funny, and it seems entertaining, but probably not going to invest any time to watch it.
Funny. I started watching it too and really liked it. My wife didn’t care for it at all and asked me why I liked it but I found it hard to explain. She thought his acting was terrible and I thought it was great.
He is amazing in that role. His facial.expressions alone should win him an Emmy imo.
i have considered it as looking interesting enough. maybe will add to the master list and see if mrs f has interest.
like any sketch show, some are just ok.
but the loaded nachos scene killed me. also, worth it for having seen the full sketch around the meme “we’re all trying to find the guy who did this!”
We too started Resident Alien. Both my wife and I enjoy it. It’s certainly quirky. I could see it being a show you either love or hate. I think Alan Tudyk nails the roll, but I could also see folks finding him god awful if you don’t like that sort of thing.
This on Hulu? I have access to Hulu. Might start this up as my after-wife-goes-to-bed choice.
Netflix, dont know if it is elsewhere
Edit - S1&2 are on Netflix. S3 is currently running on Scify, with it available the next day on Peacock.
Did anyone watch the latest Father Brown yet this week?
The arrogant dancer lady that used yarrow root to give herself an abortion: Apparently (according to Jaspess) she likely used it to make a tea or some other ingestible form, as opposed to (according to me) using it in a … more direct application.
Hilarity ensued when we compared methods.
Started up “The 1619 Project.” On Hulu.
We caught up to “Feud.”
Still holding “Monsieur Spade” for a reasonable time.
I started watching a new Netflix show from Guy Ritchie (GR) that is called “The Gentlemen” and is in fact a takeoff/expansion of the previous GR movie called “The Gentlemen”. It seems that this may even serve to tie other GR movies into the same “universe” ( a crooked boxing match was part of a “long con” early in the series)
I am a big Guy Ritchie fan. I’m only 2 eps in out of 8 but I have liked it a lot so far. Highly recommended, especially if you are a GR fan.
Finished the third season of Loudermilk. Have really grown fond of this character but Season 4 is apparently not expected for another 3 years.
OK. I"m only into the 3rd episode and it is really good. The Detective Danner interactions are hilarious. My favorite so far is “Don’t write down ‘jamming the clam’!”. The Rashomon-ness of the stories is good.
Watching the Tom Cruise M:I movies in order, on Hulu, but movies 5+ require renting, and I won’t do that. Nice to see them in their actual speed, instead of slightly faster on cable TV stations like AMC, Bravo, etc.
Death Valley Days (1950s TV series, on YouTube)
I used to watch this as a kid. 20 Mule Team Borax was the sponsor. That name really stuck in my head.
We have about half a box of that borax. It’s got to be several decades old at this point.
