No idea. I just can’t get into it myself.
I get plenty of “The Office” on Comedy Central, though they sometimes skip episodes.
Schitt’s Creek is hilarious, and only keeps getting better from the beginning.
Schitt’s Creek is superb in character development. Every character grew from season 1 to season 6. It’s rare in comedies (cue Friends, where the characters are pretty much the same from S1 to S10, except maybe…Rachel).
OK you guys have convinced me, will give it a shot (despite my ignorance about the concept of an individual owning a town)
if you find yourself not able to get into the show in the beginning, just focus on Moira. She’s really the main reason the show is funny.
See I think it’s all in David’s facial expressions and the sibling dynamic between Alexis and David, but the whole family is great imo.

I think it’s more that a buddy paid to have it named after him as a joke. I don’t think they actually own any of it, except a motel.
Alice in Borderland - Season 1 had 7 episodes and we watched it an evening I think, maybe 2.
It’s a odd Japanese live action show based on anime series I think. IMDb describes it as “A group of bored delinquents are transported to a parallel wasteland as part of a survival game.” There is more to it than that but I don’t want to spoiler it. - oh and not family friendly for younger kids.
Don’t think that’s true. Since they have multiple episodes surrounding selling the town (not the motel).

I’m watching this as well! It’s based on manga I think. Never heard of it before. I like the concept. And I trust the Japanese to come up with interesting “games”. So far not disappointed (may be 3-4 episodes in)
I stand corrected. I’ve probably only seen half the episodes.
The town ownership aspect shouldn’t be a sticking point. While it’s a major plot point, it isn’t really something most episodes require you to understand for you to appreciate the humor and character arcs.
I’m having a hard time getting into Schitt’s Creek for this reason. I don’t understand the premise.

I agree with @twig93.. I want to like the show but I struggle to even find evidence of this “own a town” concept by googling. Perhaps it happens in Canada (although notably they appear to be in the US)?
