Certainly not his extra chins.
Bazinga.
This happens to be Bruce Springsteen. He explains why he is voting for Harris-Walz. The reason I am posting this is not his vote (celeb endorsements are a big whatever) but how concisely and beautifully he describes America adn the meaning of this election. This is the America I believe in.
I copied the Youtube auto transcript and added punctuation to make it easier to read for those that donāt click links.

Hi Iām Bruce Springsteen friends fans and the press have asked me who Iām supporting in this most important of elections and with full knowledge that my opinions no more or less important than those of any of my fellow citizens hereās my answer Iām supporting Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president and opposing Donald Trump and JD Vance. Hereās why. We are shortly coming upon one of the most consequential elections in our nationās history perhaps not since the Civil War has this great country felt as politically spiritually and emotionally divided as it does then at this moment. It doesnāt have to be this way.
The common values, the shared stories that make us a great and united nation are waiting to be rediscovered and retold once again. Now that will take time, hard work, intelligence, faith, and women and men with the national good guiding their hearts. America is the most powerful nation on Earth not just because of her overwhelming military strength or economic power but because of what she stands for what she means what she believes in Freedom, social justice, equal opportunity, the right to be in love who you want these are the things that make America great.
Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime. His disdain for the sanctity of our constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again. He doesnāt understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American. On the other hand Harris and Tim Waltz are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone regardless of class, religion, race, your political point of view, or sexual identity. And they want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all, not just a few like me on top. Thatās the vision of America Iāve been consistently writing about for 55 years now.
Everybody sees things different and I respect your choice as a fellow citizen but like you Iāve only got one vote and itās one of the most precious possessions that I have. Thatās why come November 5th Iāll be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Thanks for listening.
I canāt wait for the Trumpistani to go out and burn or otherwise trash all their Bruce Springsteen stuff in response.
Thatāll show him
Go woke go broke
I did a protest
Are you kidding, they will just say he doesnāt understand Born in the USA
Yeah I think he sold his song catalog for $550m so the going broke part probably off the table unless he runs his investments like Trump.
One of the comments on the video actually says that. Most of the comments under the video read exactly like what I would write (along with all the upvotes) if I were a Russian troll.
Yeah, Boss is awesome.
Seems like a pretty informed legal take on the GA election board shenanigans
I donāt want to sound the alarm, but weāre 4 weeks out and it feels like Democrats are trying to run the clock out in a prevent defense instead of returning fire like theyāre defending at the Battle of the Bulge.
Run down the clock with four minutes left and a 1 point lead.
Harris is doing a bit of a media blitz
Latest NYT/Siena poll has this race very close, as do most others:
The cross tabs indicate this:
White non-college: Trump +30
White college grads: Harris +23
Non-White college: Harris +39
Non-White no college: Harris +31
This election is white working class men and their wives vs the rest of the country.
Got my ballot yesterday, probably fill it out and mail it back this weekend.
Reminder that Jill Stein has called the Ukrainian government āultra-nationalists and ex-Nazisā, a common GOP & Russian talking point. (UAWire - Green party candidate Jill Stein critical of Ukraine, says NATO 'encircled Russia')
Hereās Jill Stein at a gala in Moscow celebrating the 10th anniversary of state TV channel RT, alongside Putin.
Older news about the 2016 election after the fact:
This is real (I just checked), and I donāt believe the President has the power to do this. Canāt imagine the outcry if a Democratic candidate said BS like this:
He could certainly suggest to Congress that they pass a bill making generators purchased in response to natural disaster is tax deductible and then he could sign it, but Iām not sure he understands how the government works.
