Maybe because Harris is running an upbeat positive campaign with multiple campaign stops around joy while Trump is hiding in Mar-a-Lago spewing hate and division about the doom facing America?
Honestly before Biden dropped out the stories were all Biden is too ####### old to run for President when most votes thought both Biden and Trump were too ####### old to run for President. Why don’t we now have constant stories about how old Trump is like there were about Biden? I mean sure there are few here and there but when Biden was in the race I couldn’t open a web browser without seeing a story about Biden’s age.
Now trump can’t even recall the details of a life threatening near helicopter crash. Flubbing when it happened, who he was with, where it happened and what was discussed on the trip. I don’t know about you but if I had a near death experience, I might forget the exact date but I’m pretty sure like the actual black politician Nate Holden who is now 95 by the way and remembers the incident recall details a lot better than Trump. But I guess one coast is the same as the next to trump and maybe all black people do look alike to him that he mistook New Jersey for California and Holden for Willie Brown. And I’m not sure what they would have been discussing about Kamala Harris in 1990, I think she might have just gotten out of Howard at that point given her age.
When the mistake was pointed out and Willie Brown noted it wasn’t him and Jerry Brown recalled being on helicopter with Trump in CA but no rough landing, Trump response in true Trump fashion was not to correct the record but to threaten law suit against the New York Times and claim it really was Willie and was CA.
So what an I supposed to make of Trump and how do you think the press should be covering him?
It is difficult for any news agency to keep up with all the shit, bullshit, and statistics that Trump makes up. Trump knows this, and this is how he won in 2016. “Let them stew over some crap I shat out my ass and not the Project 2025 which I know nothing about.”

Trump is flailing about trying to insult KH and Walz, but they are simply not playing his game anymore. His attacks are not generating (and leading) the news. His constant negativity is being ignored for the more positive (and new) KH and Walz story.
Its glorious. If this continues over the next few months he is definitely going to lose because he will become increasingly unhinged given that he is not the center of attention (news wise). This is what makes him emotionally unbalanced as he will continue to spin as many whacky stories as he can (this is really his main weakness - his need for attention). This has been highlighted beautifully by Walz with his “they are weird” quip.
I figure that if KH does debate him (remains to be seen if he agrees to one without many caveats) he will get trounced and he will spiral even faster.

Now we just shake our heads and post it on a thread in mockery.
Or he claims to have been in an emergency landing on a helicopter against all evidence and the people who were allegedly there, and we say, "Sure, Donny. What a nice story!
IF is a big word. I’m concerned that Harris is still in the honeymoon stage. She is the generic “somebody else”.
Right now, she’s a blank slate an people can imagine good stuff. She will have to fill in details and I expect her support will go down as she does.
I think the debate could be critical. With the short window and the fact that Harris isn’t well known, that single event could define her for a lot of people. In 2019 she was prepared with a good line against Biden on busing. But then wasn’t prepared to defend her record as prosecutor when Gabbard attacked. I don’t know how the debate will go this time.
There is some truth to this, as it is the honeymoon stage. People are excited to have another choice. I think much of that will likely persist, but only time will tell.
Since her nomination, Harris has been spending much of her time at rallies. I imagine she is also extensively practicing for debates, if not yet then soon. She should have a good idea about where Trump will attack in debates, and plenty of time to practice. I imagine she will have a good sparring partner. I wonder if Buttigieg will get tapped again for practice.
