I agree, “what they should do” and “what they’re going to do” are pretty obviously two different things. That’s why what’s going to happen is pure theater.

Yes. But that mostly affects the lower quality students headed for the Diploma mills that sprung up in Canada.
The higher-quality students will avoid the US because of Trump and Canada will welcome them.
The space allotments are the space allotments. Canada may pick-up higher quality students, but the overall number of students is going down, I believe including Universities. Atlantic Canada is down around 3,000 students so far. Perhaps they’ll go to Australia instead?
UK changed visa rules this year under Claverly. Student enrollment as at September was lower than prior years. There is expected to be a crisis because the fees those students paid is going to be missed.
Could be. I just don’t know enough about the Australian University lanscape vs Canada/UK/US to really be able to compare.
I don’t know that it will be “avoid” so much as xenophobia further constricting the availability of visas.
US still has an advantage over Canada (at least for those looking to immigrate via student status) in terms of post-graduation pay and cost-of-living.
Whether that’s worth the potential downsides arising from the new regime will depend on the student.
I don’t think they care. I’d be shocked if SS/Medicare didn’t both take hits under this Yrump Administration.

Recent history shows that more foreign students return to their home countries now. Reasons given are guns, healthcare costs, and political animus.
The things that induce immigration are much different for educated and non educated. The times they sre a chsngin

As P Diddy’s case shows, child sex trafficking is still an issue in this country, and Gaetz does have experience with that, so …

He is placing people that are not just unqualified in positions of power, but that are also largely incompetent. This will very likely put the entire country at risk as China and Russia will absolutely take advantage of this.
He also just nominated Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.
