Canada recently committed to buying 88 American F35 fighter jets. Just one example of how trade with Canada greatly benefits the US as they are manufactured in Texas. Looking at the Ukraine-Russia war, possibly some of that money should have been spent on developing domestic drone production instead. No talk of Canada reneging on the F35 purchases though, yet.
I hope the Canadian military is studying the war there like crazy to get ideas on what we need to do/buy.

Yeah, that episode was pretty ugly.
I know next to nothing about what military equipment Canada should be buying but I have read articles about how some traditional equipment might be less relevant in modern warfare.

It has been mentioned once or twice in our news.
I would expect it to be mentioned in the UK. Not so much in the US though as not the same awareness of European history.
And, of course, it was covered extensively in my Canadian high school history classes.

Trump seems to be going much easier on the UK than Canada when it comes to steel tariffs? Maybe Trump wants to stay on good terms with Charles III as he sees him as the guy to buy Canada from?
