I don’t think Quebecers would ever accept that… Alberta maybe but never Quebec. They would have to kill us all to be honest because there would be constant attacks against infrastructure, which would be controlled by American mining and energy firms.
Given how the USA treats its territories, there would be zero voluntary acceptance here of that option. That would require US military intervention to happen.
What if it were not a choice?
Canada seems to have a huge advantage over the USA if nuclear war broke out. We have massive land compared to the population. We could disperse ourselves very easily and then just target your metro areas with nukes. What are you going to do? We would be living in igloos. You wouldn’t even know what area to target. It would be like a ghost country.
