The traitors crossing?
I think I’ve said it before, but the press corps should start asking Trump outlandish questions to see how he responds, and then broadcast his answers to the rest of America.
“Have you directed RFK Jr. to study how windmills cause cancer, and will you be proposing compensation to those who developed cancer because of windmills - and if so, how much compensation?”
“Do you support sending arms to Russia to help fight off Ukraine?”
“Have you directed Elon to set up a manned mission to Mars before 2028, and will you name a crew for that mission in the coming days?”
“A recent poll from the Teddy Roosevelt Institute shows that 72% of Americans support a federal program for converting cemeteries back to real estate for housing if those buried can be relocated elsewhere with dignity. Is this something you’d consider, and if so where do you think the dead could be relocated to?”
“There’s currently a proposed constitutional amendment in the House to amend Article 8 of the Constitution to require individuals crossing state lines to pay tariffs to the federal government on foreign-produced goods brought into a state. Do you support this, and do you think it could take the place of any tariffs you’ve considering?”
Shit like that. It doesn’t have to be grounded in reality, but lob questions that sound reasonable to him that will seize on things he’s fixated on, and let him ramble away like he’s really well-informed and see what kind of stupid shit falls out of his mouth.
Given the housing crises do you think we should convert Arlington National cemetery to townhomes and condos?
Only if there can be a casino included!
President Donald Trump’s honeymoon period in the polls seems to be over ― but he thinks he’s more popular than ever.
“I had an approval rating today of 71 and another one of 69,” Trump bragged at the Republican governors dinner in Washington on Thursday. “I have not heard of those numbers before.”
Well, there is some rare truth in there: he had not heard of those number before… before he spoke them.
Like with the pet eating Haitians, once Trump spouts a lie he has a tendency to keep repeating it after it’s proven to be false so that the faithful accept it as fact.
Hamas and the condoms again
I’d love to be rich enough to rent billboards across flyover country that have a numbered list (of course) of Trump lies.
Would never have to start the list over again, at his current rate:
Would be totally ineffective. You are one of those west coast libs totally out of touch with American opinion. He’s the greatest man that ever lived. He never lies, unlike these fake news billboards.
Trump’s two favourite whipping boys currently seem to be Trudeau and Zelenskyy. His comments about the latter are well-documented in other threads but Americans may not be as familiar with Trump’s almost daily trashing of Trudeau. Today’s excerpts:
**US President Donald Trump slammed on Friday Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, claiming that he “destroyed” his country.
“Justin’s a loser, always has been,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News Radio, arguing that the Canadian prime minister has “done a very bad job for Canada. He’s taking it radical left.”
“Justin, he’s too far radical left."
“He’s killing Canada. Canada is doing terribly right now,” he said, claiming that the Trudeau government’s policies “have absolutely destroyed Canada.”**
Sigh. It’s just the kind of thing we’ve been hearing non-stop for years. It sucks that Canada is now on his radar, but, unfortunately, that’s really just noise here now.
Only problem is that Canada has been a close ally for ages and only bad things result from throwing that away.

“For years Washington was controlled by a sadistic group of radical left marxists.”
I don’t think the US has experienced a far left or far right goverment until this year.
Nah, people who are plugged in are very aware. Of course, sadly the US has a huge cohort of people who don’t pay attention to politics. The MAGA who pay attention are giddy about Trump trashing our alliance and your PM. The rest are embarrassed and disappointed.
I check out the comments on Fox News occasionally and, as much as I agree it is time for Trudeau to move on, I am floored by the venom directed at Trudeau. It is not as if Trudeau has actually affected their lives in any way but it reflects the toxicity of current politics as personified and emboldened by Trump.
Pretty sure it’s mostly just jealousy. Melania made googly eyes at Justin that one time.
