That’s interesting… I haven’t had the news on since they released his identity.
I never dug into the details there, but at first blush, a JFK conspiracy is like a million times more likely than either a failed or faked Trump assasination job.

I found a CO Democratic lawmaker Steven Woodrow who tweeted an inappropriate comment after the assassination attempt. He wrote:
The last thing America needed was sympathy for the devil but here we are
The official Colorado branch of the Democratic party re-tweeted and publicly denounced it, and shortly after Woodrow deleted his social media and released the following statement:
My message, as inarticulate as it was, is that acts of violence like this are awful and only make it more likely that Trump now wins. We must always resolve our differences peacefully at the ballot box—not through violence. I know people are hurting, and apologize that my words caused additional pain
Not a great look for the Democratic Party to have a member post something like that, but the local politician being inappropriate was quickly rectified.

Eh, AOC might be the furthest left member of Congress, but that’s a different set of criteria from being the most unhinged Democrat. Offhand I’m not sure who is, but she seems fairly sane.
MTG is the most unhinged Republican, but I honestly have no idea if she’s the furthest right. She could possibly be both.
And certainly no Republican would ever say something negative about Biden if someone attempted an assault on him. And if someone did the GOP leadership would quickly condemn him!

If pointing out violent right-wing rhetoric is turning up the rhetoric, I don’t know how to appease you.
I pointed out the one inappropriate post by a left-wing politician that I found so we could keep both sides in the discussion. If you’ve found additional left-wing politicians being inappropriate then I welcome them being called out as well. I don’t like inciteful language. I don’t like it when Democrats or the GOP do it, and I’m glad that the Democrat I posted was denounced by the party.
You’ll notice I never produced any inciteful language myself nor supported it. I pointed it out as wrong, so I’m confused at the response.

Edit: Looks like this is accurate, though it seems some sources are incorrectly reporting it as a $15 to the Democratic Party, whereas many say something like a “Democrat-leaning group” or a “Democrat-linked group.” I can’t find what it really was, though.
FWIW , I don’t think the lad had any political aims to speak of. Seems more like a thrill seeker, peeps who get off on risky activity. Like free climbing El Cap, chasing tornados, or paddling across the Atlantic.
This is not meant to excuse the action in any way. But even if it’s true, it’s like a fuse that ignites a powder keg. The reaction, both extreme left and right will be a problem. And today, it’s a bigger problem than ever before.
The tech today makes just about anyone vulnerable. No amount of Secret Service protection is going to work if the perpetrators use the tech being employed by the Ukrainians today. Buy a cheap drone, toss in the camera/lens from an old smart phone, then add in a dash of AI image recognition. Bingo, you have a hunter seeker drone. Send 15 of those out after a face, and there really isn’t much defense. The Ukrainians use them to destroy armored personnel carriers. The things cost like $200 to build.
But hey, I’m a risk manager. I always look for the dark side.
And neither fringe left nor fringe right is “more callus” it is a dead heat IMO.
Your post missed the point you were attempting to make imo. By trying to “both sides” an issue that is so monumentally tilted to one side you simply seek to perpetuate the imbalance. Calls to tone done the rhetoric go nowhere because it falls on deaf ears on one side, and there isn’t much to tone down on the other.
