We had ten kids. No one was walking around in my town, i couldn’t Believe how few kids were out. Funny thing is that ten is about par, so even though there weren’t many kids, we got the locals.
It was colder than usual, and weeknight also probably suppressed numbers a little here. I was the only adult walking with the kids. Other groups were in cars, or golf carts or walking unsupervised. Neighbor with toddler/infant came by early, they may have been walking. We stuck to the area near our house, which is up a steep hill that reduces the numbers compared to front of subdivision. I was surprised that one house that in prior years was a “false advertiser”, meaning porch light on, decorations, but never answered door despite a climb from street!, actually gave out candy.
Lol, i stayed home from an event i usually go to just do we wouldn’t be a false advertiser. I thought a house with giant inflatable decorations on the lawn ought to give out candy, and that turning off the lights wasn’t really good enough.
I’m happily married.
I can’t speak for my wife.
