so, like, i wasn’t aware that was an, uhm, option? and so now I’d like to, uhm, do that instead too
The company started in Broomfield, CO. I worked in Broomfield and lived in nearby Arvada starting in 2006, so I was basically there to witness much of their history.
They were a massive hit around that time and went through a rapid growth then almost went under in the 2008 recession. Where I worked then it seemed like all the men had their boat shoe.
I don’t remember who financed their growth phase but it was a story for a week.
“Wouldn’t it be funny if…let me try this one…Wouldn’t it…oh yeah, that’s good…Wouldn’t…I have to try that one…oh wow…What was I saying?…um…definitely need to try the other one… oh yeah…Wouldn’t it be funny, like, if we …just need to try a bit more… stayed home?”
Oh yuck!!! OK, that is EXTREMELY WTF.
Mmmm, I love apple pie.
I have a special pumpkin pie recipe that my mother and (when she was alive) my paternal grandmother and I make. I like that pumpkin pie but no other pumpkin pie.
So if it’s someone else’s pumpkin pie vs apple, then for sure apple.
I’m a big fan of both Apple and Pumpkin pie. Can’t say which is my favorite, depends on the day but I’d probably lean pumpkin. Funny thing is I have a son who loves apple pie but does not like pumpkin and a daughter who loves pumpkin but doesn’t like apple.
What kind of pie does the mailman like? ![]()
Anyone who’s ever had my spouse’s apple pie would never suggest pumpkin pie is better. I’m not a fan of apple pie in general, but I devour my spouse’s. An ex-amish guy said she should’ve been amish lol.
wrt pumpkin pie, my grandmother did the same thing, had a recipe she used every year at thanksgiving. When I left home for school, I decided to make it myself. Bought a pumpkin, spend a half of forever steaming it and processing it to get the pumpkin puree. Then I called grandma for the recipe. She starts wtih ‘one can of pumpkin pie filling’. WTF grandma.
That stuff is pretty good for pies.
I think we use it for pumpkin soup in our house.
Most of my Mom’s “homemade” recipes are from 1960’s cookbooks. McCall’s, Betty Crocker, etc. We took those cookbooks before we sold the house. (And her recipe box.)
You shut your filthy mouth!
However, pumpkin pie at the holidays is pretty good.
The difference between a can of pumpkin puree, and growing, processing, blending and creating your own pumpkin puree is zero. There’s no difference. Well, other than the satisfaction of a job well done.
But the terrior!
Etienne, qu’est-ce que c’est ce “terrior”??? Je ne comprends pas. ![]()
Growing, processing, blending and creating your own pumpkin puree is for the motivated
I’ll have what she’s having.
I think it is hi klass for pumpkin snob.
I had a “plat du terroir” in a restaurant just outside of Quebec City. It was yummy!!! ![]()
Play it again, Sam
