Thread for things you regret

It’s better to regret something you’ve done rather than something you haven’t done. And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend, tell her…

… I’ll tell her to stay in the box where she’s been for 15 years.

Bet someone regrets telling a “yo momma” joke to someone whose mother is dead.

I regret taking my meds earlier and then not eating because now my stomach hurts too much to eat.

Okay, this one time I was driving down the street and looked to the right. There was a woman visibly freaking out in the driver’s seat, crying hysterically. I opened my window and asked her if she was OK. Through tears, she told me that her dog had just attacked her baby and she was on the way to the hospital. I asked if there was anything I could do and she said no, her husband was going to meet her there.

I regret that I didn’t basically insist that I drive her, so she could sit in the back seat with the kid and keep them both more comfortable. I don’t think anything bad actually happened, but I still regret that it was an opportunity for me to do a good deed that would have actually made a difference.

Your kid sucks. My kid has taken care of his guinea pigs all by himself. I’ve done nothing. Nothing, I tell you!

Except help bury the first one when it died. This one is still going strong, though.

I was going to say I’d regret it I defined it, but I’ll say it’s like porn—you know it if you see it.

I’ll probably regret that response, but I’m in the right thread for that.

I’ll likely regret posting about anything I actually regret so I’ll just not.

Or maybe I had that same thong mishap as @NerdAlert

Yes. But I regret that I’m not inclined to do so.

I don’t regret things outside of my control.

My biggest regrets are the times when I have really hurt someone else by doing something wrong. Lying to my parents about grades in college. Cheating on my first girlfriend. Those are the 2 I really regret, but in someways I am where I am because of the resolutions I made after going through those processes. If I was smart enough to learn from the mistakes of others instead of making them myself I would have saved myself some pain and suffering over the years.

I regret that I didn’t try that first.

There are unfelt things I regret.

Dropping the soap

that seems relatively minor.

My parents were amazing, they don’t deserve to be lied to. It hurt their feelings and broke the trust they had in me.

I’ve had two instances where I’ve stopped to help a single woman with car problems and been denied both times.
Once someone was unable to drive up a ramp due to ice and I offered to push. Second time they were stuck in a ditch after dark and I offered them a ride into town.
Pretty sure it’s because I roll up in a full sized pickup and I’m a fairly large person. I’m not helping them, I’m scaring them.
