Outdoor timer (Target and Lowe’s were out of these)

I just bought an iPad, should arrive today. I assume there is some new generation coming out; I purchased a brand new 9th generation that was marked down from $330 to $250. The 10th generation was also marked down.

My iPad is 10 years old and it works perfectly, but I was looking to put Chrome and Pluto.tv on it and the OS is so old it won’t do it.

If anyone wants an perfectly good 10-yr iPad on the cheap, let me know. I’ve got no use for two of them.

From Amazon: wallpaper

I have an ipad that’s about 10 years old, too, but the battery life now really sucks.

Whatcha papering? My wife is a hard no on any wallpaper, I tried suggesting some Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper and she even flat out vetoed that.

She’s papering the kitchen. Peel & stick. I flat out refused to help, as often when we do projects together, words get said, feelings get hurt.

it looks good so far.

Mouse…

MX Anywhere 3S… My current MX Anywhere 3 is starting to break after a year. So I guess I’m a good target for planned obsolescence.

Wallpaper? In 2023?

Though I should talk. People say our house looks like a model home. A friend laughs and says what shade of beige are you painting? No wallpaper here.

I like wallpaper. But except for the kitchen, the whole house is just painted. I don’t love the wallpaper in the kitchen, but it came with the house and i don’t care enough to change it.

This is the absolute opposite of my spouse. They’re pretty much always redoing something. Currently on the agenda: Emptying the garage, repainting walls and floor.

My battery life … same as it ever was

Garage door keypad. Thanks to YouTube video for encouraging me to buy one instead of hiring someone to replace the one we have.

Just bought a 4x4x4 Rubik’s cube, got one for my 16th birthday but no idea where it is. I got the 3x3x3 last week and have solved that zillions of times. Both are not the Rubik variety but an off brand without stickers and much easier to manipulate (not that I’m going to break any speed records, I need 3-4 minutes to solve the 3x3x3)

First time I ever handled a speed cube I was totally blown away. While I was never going to be a record breaker, I used one when I was younger as a stress reliever. Not like a fidget spinner, but more of something to do for 5 or 10 minutes that required my mind to focus to calm me. The speed cube would have been so much more soothing than the hard to turn ones I had in my youth.

I have long forgotten how to solve them and get frustrated now.

TV tuner for my computer!

it’s great!

I got my Baratza coffee grinder today from Amazon, it’s a real beast. It has 270 settings from coarse to fine so it’s something fun to fiddle with. I started at the recommended setting for espresso but it was too coarse and the shot pulled very quickly. I dialed it four steps finer for my last shot and it’s better but the shot pulled in 20s so I need to go finer still. Nevertheless, it was tasty.

Oh, and it has a timer, I can set it to the hundredth of a second. I don’t have a scale accurate enough to measure grams so I’m just eyeballing that. But I appreciate it, it should make for more consistent shots, and it’s really easy to just hit the button and know I’m good.

A vent knob for my Instant Pot. Apparently the dog tried to eat the old one.

Humblebrag about having a big enough drug habit grams don’t matter.
