The Kids Thread

Oh, and he got a 91% on his test yesterday on exponents and variables. Which he had zero reaction to.

We got expelled if we were caught cheating.

I used to think this was harsh but if its not a black/white punishment you will see kids cheat simply because they can do so with limited repercussions.

Booked an overnight glamping stay at a Castle here in the UK.

Little one is excited at doing all the medieval activities on offer (falconry included which she had never seen before).

Our daughter loved feeding the baby Alpacas at our hotel in Peru. Great experience for kids in general.

When I retire, I’m gonna have a farm full of alpacas with a big sign that says don’t feed the llamas.

Is she reading it a corn dog? Lol. Very cute,

lol they are voracious eaters of carrots. The baby Alpacas consume about 1kg/day each. We fed them their supply for the day.

I’ve always been very hands off when it comes to music. I was forced into learning piano as a child and I resent it. But I can see the inherent talent my younger son has, and how he’s drawn to playing music. He’s asked to start taking trumpet and piano lessons - and we have a teacher we see casually already who teaches both (he’s my mom’s current saxophone teacher and my son takes her lessons in trumpet when she isn’t available. They click well).

I’m really excited that he has expressed the interest on his own; I hope it sticks. He doesn’t need to major in music or anything, but I want him to have an interest in life beyond video games.
