Miller was an American politician from Maryland. He had been a state senator representing the 27th District (Calvert, Charles, and Prince George’s Counties) from 1975 to 2020 and served as its President from 1987 to 2020. He was the longest-serving President of the Maryland Senate, and was for a period the longest-serving state senate president in the United States. He died of prostate cancer on January 15 at age 78.
Lawrence Harvey Zieger was an American television and radio host whose work was recognized with awards including two Peabodys, an Emmy award, and 10 Cable ACE Awards. King began as a Florida journalist and radio interviewer. He gained prominence as host of The Larry King Show, an all-night nationwide call-in radio program heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System. Later, he hosted the nightly interview television program Larry King Live on CNN, then Larry King Now which aired on Hulu, Ora TV, and RT America. He continued to host Politicking with Larry King, a weekly political talk show which aired weekly on the same two channels from 2013 until his death today at age 87 from COVID-19. Garlique won’t help him now.

Spinks rose to fame by winning an Olympic gold medal as a light heavyweight boxer in the 1976 Olympics. In only his eighth professional fight, he won the undisputed heavyweight championship in 1978 after defeating Muhammad Ali in a split decision, in what was considered one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. Spinks was later stripped of the WBC title for facing Ali in an unapproved rematch seven months later, which he lost by unanimous decision. He suffered from prostate cancer in later years and died yesterday at age 67.

The legendary coach led the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Washington and San Diego Chargers. He posted a 205-139-1 career record, including the playoffs, leading his teams to the postseason 13 times. Though Schottenheimer coached in three AFC Championship Games, two with the Browns and one with the Chiefs, he never made a Super Bowl. He was fired after a 14-2 season due to losing in the dvisional round of the playoffs to the Patriots. That would be his last game. He was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease in 2014 and passed away today at age 66.
