We got the warning. If it hits me thatā€™s some Day After Tomorrow level disaster. My wife went home. She was probably in no danger where she was but was worried about possible public transit disruption and her cowoker gave her a ride home.

7.1 EQ in western China/Tibet area near Mt. Everest

7.7 in Myanmar. Thatā€™s a huge one.

Given that the country is in civil war and ruled by a military junta, there arenā€™t many aid agencies on the ground there. Could be really bad in terms of humanitarian disaster

Some of the real video out of there is wild crazy. Of course, there is a ton of AI crap going around so it is a little difficult to determine what is true and what is not. I try to stick to reputable news sources.

Death toll in Myanmar is now at 1,644 with another 10 in Thailand.
