The covid virgins club

Nope.

I think that I’m in the club, but how do I know for sure?

To really know for sure, you’ve got to get your antibodies checked. The vaccine only produces one type. Whereas, the illness produces both.

Bump:
Wife finally got it. She works in a middle school so plenty of chances for idiot kids to come to school with it. Yes, they are all idiots!! I suppose some are nice people.

We still slept in the same bed, as our extra bedroom is unavailable because it is a storage area while we are refurbing. Left a window open for fresh air. turned away from each other.
I took a test recently, negative. Might take another one today or tomorrow.

We had some older tests that wife took home from school a couple of summers ago. I Took one of those; got no control line! So, she had some newer ones from the school and I took one of those.

I’m at a gun show. Not surprising I’m the only one wearing a mask.
I’m in line and swallowed wrong, had a coughing fit lol.

I just came back from a weekend dance event where we all ate and danced with each other. It required covid testing before you arrived, plus every morning. One person tested positive Saturday morning and isolated until he left, and another tested positive Sunday morning, and left right after her roommate brought her breakfast in their room. Her roommate (who happened to be her husband) caught covid a month ago, so I suppose i shouldn’t worry too much about having had breakfast with him.

I guess we’ll find out how well those test protocols work. But i won’t be surprised if i catch covid this week.

Slow, close dancing?

Asking for a friend.

'cause that’s how you get COVID.
And pregnant.

Still in.
Have not been sick since early 2019.

I have been going to the office every day since Nov 2022.
We eat out at least once a week.
Average one concert a month.
Have flown (unmasked) multiple times in the past six months.
For the past nine months I have been categorized as ā€œimmunocompromisedā€ due to a treatment i am receiving for MS.

Still not certain how i have kept dodging this…

My kids are to blame for covid and everything else we have had here the last 4 years.

Body odor?

Hey, I’m just asking questions!

I’m a covid virgin in the US, but apparently a COVID slut abroad.

Rather to my surprise, I’m still a covid virgin.

How about the rest of the group you were with? Did anyone catch covid outside of direct partners after the event?

A group of the attendees were students who all live together. One of them tested positive Sunday night, but never got sick and tested negative again by Monday. One other guy got sick with not-covid. He often gets sick after weekends, and i wonder if it might be how his body reacts to too much exercise & not enough sleep, rather than infections. As best as i can tell, no one else got sick.

Maybe this whole testing thing actually works.

My husband just came home from a conference with a stuffy nose and a positive covid test. He got in late last night and put himself to bed in the guest bedroom. So… I give myself 20% odds of staying in the club. Sigh.

So far, he’s not very sick. So that’s good.

The first time I caught it my wife did not. I slept in the spare bedroom, used a mask when in the common areas, and stayed out on the porch a lot.

One of my colleagues’ wife had it pretty bad for a couple weeks. They isolated once she tested positive and no one else in the house got it!

We’ve managed not to spread covid in the house each time it’s entered.

Well, my daughter came down with it yesterday. She’s sicker than my husband, i think.

I still feel okay this morning. I’ll test before i go out dancing tonight. And I’ll mask when I’m out.

I’m out. I developed symptoms yesterday, and tested positive this morning.

At least we can stop isolating in the house. In happier news, my husband seems to have recovered, so he can take over cooking and stuff. And my daughter is on the mend.
