This might be enough to nudge the supreme Court to rule against him. One of the judges who will rule on Trump has already had a bomb threat to his house. The Supreme Court doesn’t want Navy seals targeting them if they vote against him.
I think most Republicans think they’re safe since, after all, they’re Republicans. I don’t think they realize the MAGA crowd wouldn’t be with them until they find themselves on Trump’s hit list. I’m guessing that goes for the SC, too.
Sure, I expect most of the “normally R but today stay home or vote L” voters to come from the ranks of
Any Republican who thinks this should have a conversation with Mike Pence about how safe he was after pissing off Trump and his supporters. He was then and remains to this day a Republican.
I think the Supreme Court is smarter than that
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
“I mean, yeah, I’m a known terrorist, but i have feelings, too! What? ‘Fuck my feelings’? How insensitive!!”
Can’t have evidence of being rational floating around.
I think this is more about Stefanik positioning herself to curry favour from Trump (Trump would get shown that column by someone else trying to curry favour and he would dump her instantly).
The Trump world functions like a medieval Royal Court where everybody is trying to curry favour with the proverbial King, while back-stabbing each other to advance.
Unlike many of the MAGA-crowd, she knows exactly what she is doing so this latest action does not surprise me.
Clearly she is positioning to be his VPOTUS pick.
Clearly, she is a person of low character.
Since it still exists somehow, someone should simply forward it to Trump.
Fulton County, where Trump is on trial in the GA election interference case, is under a cyber attack. The FBI is involved.
Legitimately could be considered cyberterrorism, particularly so if the intent was to disrupt proceedings of the court case of a Presidential candidate.
I MAGA’d your post
SCOTUS rules that SarbOx can’t be used to justify “obstruction of official proceedings” charges against January 6th folks.
I suspect that this weakens, if not eliminates, much of the federal January 6th case against Trump.
SCOTUS ruling on Trump’s immunity claims will be handed down on Monday.
I’m not a lawyer, but looking at the indictment – the ruling eliminates Counts 2 and 3 of the Federal January 6 case (they specifically cite the SarbOx clause in question).
Count 1 rests on this language:
…and I assume that Trump’s lawyers can argue the SCOTUS ruling means the “obstruct the government function” isn’t actually a crime.
Count 4 (conspiracy “to injure, oppress, threaten, and intimidate one or more persons in the free exercise and enjoyment” of the right to vote) probably still stands, but it wasn’t the headline charge in this indictment.
Add the parliamentarian to the list of individuals whose actions on 1/6 made a difference for the country. I did not know they had refused to accept lists of fake electors from Chesebro and company until this piece.
