Fox covered this. Leading to the expected comment that this proves the whole capitol thing was Antifa and BLM false flag agitators.
Just reading some of these people’s stories and understanding that they literally just believed what some mentally ill person was saying makes me sad. There are basically otherwise good citizens who will go to jail for a year or 2 or more because they believed Trump because he was in a position of authority. He is literally so mentally ill he doesn’t know the difference between reality and fantasy. They are not savvy enough or sophisticated enough to make sense of these things so they trusted him. This situation has me so conflicted. Just sad all around.
Is this story your example of that? It seems like many of these people are so completely self-unaware it is almost obnoxious.
This is the same person who wants “Antifa” drawn and quartered but she is literally saying “fuck yea, I stormed the capitol” one day and the next is asking to be allowed to go on vacation in Mexico? They live in their own reality where they think their actions don’t have actual consequences. It is ridiculous and it’s time they wake up.
80% of the population lack self awareness. That is ok, but it’s the reason why integrity in leadership is so important. My father told me from a young age, people are by and large like cattle, they herd. It’s usually fine, but sometimes it’s not and this is a case of that. I just feel for the people because they followed the wrong leader and got caught up in the wrong herd.
This lady is a flower shop owner. She doesn’t have the sophistication to understand whether or not there was fraud in the election or whether Trump is full of crap or not. She probably just knows he is a successful business person like her, he lowered her taxes, and he is pro life so she wants to follow him.
Obviously I can be judgmental, but it’s not very helpful for me or her and she is going to face judgment and correction under the laws of the United States. I am just sympathetic of people who are misled and then have their lives destroyed.
Well, sort of. They’re going to jail because they stormed the capital - their actions not their beliefs. It’s a question of where you draw the line on personal responsibility.
I don’t think she will have her life destroyed. She owns a flower shop in Midland Texas. Trump won Midland county 77-21. She is probably a local hero to a lot of people.
She is responsible for her actions. No doubt about that, but she was also misled. If you steal to buy drugs you have to go to jail too, doesn’t mean I am not sympathetic to why you ended up on drugs or whatever. Just a lot of confilcting emotions for me on all of this.
People are going to claim they were misled and did not know better for the purpose of gaining that sympathy as they head to their hearings.
Exactly this. People are claiming they were duped now that they are facing serious charges. Some were ready to kidnap and kill Pence and congresscritters. Even if they were duped, I do not feel sorry for someone shedding crocodile tears now that attempted to overthrow the government or committed violent action against others. Trump of course bears responsibility for inciting them too,
There is definitely some cult-like stuff going on with these people, but not on the level of the Manson girls or Jonestown or the like. These people hadn’t completely surrendered their free will.
They are probably closer to the “we were just following orders” defense.
These people are so hateful though. Hard to have any sympathy for them.
And the request has been granted.
I have to say this may be the funniest part of this whole failed coup attempt.
He’s the one on the hunger strike, right?
He’s refusing to eat anything that isn’t organic.
It is quite amusing. This guy should be continuously covered as the face of Qanon IMO. He is a great mascot for the movement.
he’s lost 20 pounds? If I consumed nothing but water, I think it would take me longer than that to lose 20 pounds?
If he is burning 2500 calories a day and assuming a pound of fat is 3500 calories, you could get there in the 3-4 weeks he has been in jail. Probably more like he lost 15 pounds of actual weight and the rest is water and a mostly empty digestive system.
I thought prison food is supposed to be shitty. Is the organic food he demanded at least shitty organic food?
also, couldn’t they just lie to him when he asked if it was organic? how would he even know?
