I think that is a euphemism.
I’d be interested in finding out whether an expansive front yard is a good thing or a bad thing.
To be clear, I know she was in their front yard when she was shot. I would ask, though, what was a “child” doing in the front yard at 1 in the morning. I do truly hope she survives and fully recovers. That is terrible for her family to go through.
