I did not know that Will Smith was going to attend the G20 summit.
Russian retaliation…I understand being concerned about Margaret Atwood but Jim Carrey?
He helped expose Russian society for what it is, in “The Truman Show.”
Could be one of his drawings that Putin didn’t like.
I would bet money on Chrystia Freeland. ![]()
Did Putin lose a slap bet?
It’s Slapsgiving is all.
Two Russian missiles hit Poland, killing 2.
This isn’t going to end well for someone . . .
Yeah, the two people who died.
If Putin says “oopsie, that was an accident, so sorry” is anyone really going to do anything about it???
I would LOVE to be wrong about this, but when in the last 25 years has Putin faced any significant consequence for… anything?
Talking heads now theorizing that perhaps this was the remains of a russian missile after it was hit by Ukrainian defense missiles. Might make it seem slightly better than just a Russian missile gone awry.
Following the Trump playbook of denial:
The Russian Defense Ministry denied any responsibility for the incident by saying that the nation’s military did not strike any targets near the Polish-Ukrainian border. It also branded the Polish media reports a “provocation.”
Blaming the victim is a time-honored strategy. ![]()

Is it concerning to anyone else that Ukraine immediately blamed Russia? I’m definitely not on Russia’s side in this conflict, but I find it concerning how quick Ukraine was to frame this as a Russian attack on a NATO member
It would certainly be a mistake to think of Ukraine as “the good guys”. No, they are not the good guys at all; they are the “vastly less terrible guys”.
But at issue at the moment is their right to exist as a sovereign nation. A right that, despite their non-trivial flaws, they absolutely have.
I am sure we will learn over the next 20 years or so of many transgressions on the part of Ukraine. I am equally sure that history will judge them to be vastly more in the right in this conflict than Russia.
Ukraine are good guys like America are good guys.
No. What do you expect?
FWIW, I doubt that the incident in Poland would not have happened if Russia hadn’t sent so many missiles into that part of Ukraine in the first place.
But without more details about the situation, it would be difficult to say if Ukraine’s media response was or was not justified (or accurate).
This video is not an accurate portrayal of events imo. Particularly when the implications of a Russian attack on a NATO country are considered
And what informs your information of what took place?
