Any team that has won 9 games is good. I think the Hawks are in the top 5 of NFL teams but they have some big matches down the stretch that will test their standing. They are a good road team so winning home field advantage in the playoffs is not critical.
Team with better record should get to choose where the game is played
Finally, an issue I largely agree with you on!
However I might not mind if the Seahawks had to play the NFC South champs on the road.
