whew! Guess I can back off the training.
A LOT of the people that I run with are going through something. And when you run with them it starts to comes out. I am learning to just listen. Its therapy.
Start throwing this in:
āPerhaps, you are running away from your problems?ā
I attempted to figure out where the Riverside Roadrunners were taking off today. I will not run with them again.
Their FB page said āJoin us, the Riverside Runners at 7:30 AM today. Hope to see you there.ā So I went to Riverside Runners, the running store. I was there at 7:20. Nobody showed up. At 7:33 I started the route that is the usual out and back. On the way back, I didnāt see anybody who may have started late. I got back to the run store and there were tons of cars. Weird.
When I got home, I saw FB posts that they were there - at 7:40 (they all came at the same fucking time!!!). Well, they went the oppisite way. Its āLast Saturday of the Month run toward downtown dayā I saw in a vague post from last month.
I am no longer going to try to run with them ever again. I am going to call them the Riverside Ruiners - the most antisocial, miscommunicative running club in the USA. I miss Kenosha Running Club! Yea. And Iāll order shoes online. FLICK! them!!!
First time trying to join them I assume? You still got a good run in though?
No! No no no. I met up with them a few times when they did a fb/friend told me run
You know what. I have an atttude of āif I donāt like somethingā Iāll do something about it. I will start my own run club. - start at a coffee shop. Have a few selections of distances. - meet up at the coffee shop after and chat.
You found them on antisocial media. What else could you expect?
Get off that shit.
My playlist for a beer (Iām doing NA beer) mile today 12/31:
- Thunderstruck - AC/DC 4:52
- Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne 4:52
- Letās Get Rocked - Def Leppard 4:55
- Burn it to the Ground - Nickelback 3:31 (Yes - Iām going into FLICK IT! mode)
I think Iāll be able to skip to the next song way before the song ends, but weāll see. I will post results.
I think I did good - - Beer Mile time was 12:36
Iāll be the first to admit that NA beer is less carbonated than a real beer. My tummy didnāt feel like exploding ever during the run
Cāest impossible!
No one in my run group wants to run in the fridged cold at night - I get it.
define frigid.
but night runs in cold are difficult without dedicated trails that are free of ice and snow.
20 degrees, wind 10 MPH+ and Virginians (not WIāites) - VAāns = wimps!
Library near me has an almost 1/2 mile track. I should post some of the tell tale runs I try to do (think figure 8ās but each time round I run a little closer from/to opposite edge on the track.
Signed up for March 1 Myrtle beach half marathon. FLICK IT! I just did a 7 mile run last Saturday. I felt good. I will do an 8, 9, 10, 12 in the next 4 weeks. Add another day of a 3-4 miler during the week.
my knee pain has subsided. i hope the get back at it next week. slowly and with low miles
Not running but staying fit for running while my heel heals. Got up to a balmy 39 today with blue skies so managed to get a January bicycle ride in. Have a hole in one of my shoes so my foot felt a bit frostbitten for the last couple of miles.
