RIP Sean McCleese.
Founder of studentoffortune, where I made a couple of bucks way back when it was around. He sold the site to Chegg right before it was discovered there was a privacy breach at the site (not the site’s fault, someone had used it to post things they shouldn’t have). Presumably fizzled out too young because he died 2 years ago at 39. Noticed just now, apparently a HBCU recently got 3.5M to endow a chair there.
Chris was always great to listen to and was very respectful.

Mort was a local sports reporter in ATL before he made it big with ESPN. I always enjoyed his stuff. He was one of the good guys.

One of the adult children of the Browns, the FLDS polygamist family portrayed on TLC’s Sister Wives, passed away yesterday.

He committed suicide. So heartbreaking. I hope this is the end of the show; not that it’s to blame, but I believe that the show didn’t serve those kids in any way.

Unfortunately my only memory of Steve and Eydie were from SNL when Phil Hartman was Frank Sinatra at a round table with other musical artists including Mike Myers as Steve.

what’s amusing is that my best memory of Steve & Eydie was them playing Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee in a TV version of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass

My first memory of Steve Lawrence was him singing Go Away Little Girl in the early ‘60’s. Beautiful voice. RIP.
Wasn’t sure where to put this somewhat bizarre accidental death but she was a high profile person.

He didn’t want to be all by himself. But if he wasn’t surrounded by family and friends then he WAS all by himself, which is what he didn’t want.
