Julia Child did update her books, etc., but if you used the original stuff, yeah, what’s available in the stores has changed over time. It’s far easier to learn to cook by watching her TV show than by reading a book. But she had to write the book first.
The Paprika app is worth $5, imo. It will let you search Google for recipes and then it parses out all that bullshit and gives you the ingredient list and the recipe, and then you can save the recipes you like to a folder.
It also will create a shopping list, and it integrates with Siri but not Alexa, which is a little frustrating for me but it’s fine.
Getting a little OT, but it’s one of my favorite dishes… for Stu to make. I don’t cook. I definitely appreciate everybody else cooking… and I could see what Julia Child was doing in her show. I’ve watched a lot of cooking shows.
