Have to love the initial posting that Adam S posted when he broke the story that noted death with a fair amount of non-complimentary comments about his NFL career. There is definitely more to the story as Interstate, dump truck and 6:30 am are a strange combination.

I thought Lafleur was already dead. Still, Cooke is right - living NHL all-time goal-scorers have been whittled in the last week. Now I think you can only get signatures from 40 of the 46 guys who hit 500 goals.

Although I was not a Habs fan, it was always a thrill watching Lafleur race down the ice. His two pack a day smoking habit didn’t seem to affect his play but I have to think it might have shortened his life.
