Knuckleball is one of my favorite sports documentaries. It seems like he just retired.
Sad to hear about Tim Wakefield: always enjoyed watching him.
Another young sports figure, Chris Snow, dies of ALS at age 42.
Boggs responded on Thursdays to Schillings podcast from Tuesday with support and sadness. I would not consider his tweet leaking yhe cancer news. He did apologize, as it was not something the family wanted discussed at all.
That’s sad. Saw his story on Real Sports.
RIP Jim Caple. Fun writer.
61? I’m gonna feel lucky every day.
That is shocking.
I remember him as a dawg and reading him a lot when i lived in seattle.
RIP, Dick Butkus.
Dick Butkus, Hall of Fame linebacker for Chicago Bears, dies - ESPN
I’m sad that he has passed but I’m shocked he lived to 80. That seems really old for a professional football player, especially someone who hit as hard as he did and played in the era he did.
I’m guessing that he hit correctly (not leading with his head), and did not get hit as often.
Also a University of Illinois legend, before he was a Bear
A toast to #51
also the best Macho Gay Porn Star name
RIP Bobby Charlton
Geoff Hurst (who scored a hat-trick in the final) is now the only one from the 1966 World Cup winning team left. He and Mbappe in 2022, are the only players to score hat-tricks in a World Cup final.
Frank Howard - Multiple All Star, HR Champ - Very good career
We shall throw a chair in memory of…
Blurred for offensiveness:
If death is inevitable, just relax and enjoy it
I wonder if they will bury him upside down like he always hoped?
Frank Howard was one of the most feared hitters from his era, known for toiling on the terrible Washington Senators. A case could be made for the HOF, but he falls just short for me.
I’m going to curse out some random person, maybe even kick them in the shins, maybe even lightly choke them, in memory of …
