Republicans Say the Darndest Things!

This is the universal sentiment expressed by commenters on the Fox News website. Everyone alleged Biden was misleading folks about his cancer.

“Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country,” from the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Never mind that routine prostate cancer screening isn’t recommended after age 70.

Yep. For most part if you get prostate cancer as an old dude usually it’s slow enough growing that if you ignore it something else will get you first.

For people under 70 or if it’s particularly aggressive, treatment is usually recommended.

I annoyed a friend a few years back. Her very elderly and otherwise not well father elected surgery for prostate cancer, and I dared to ask why. They seemed insulted, but I personally would likely not elect for prostate surgery post 80yo.

I was angry at my FIL’s doctor for still checking his PSA, then put him through a prostate biopsy, and diagnosing him with prostate cancer. He was in his 80s and had congestive heart failure. Fortunately, the oncologist recommended not doing anything, as his cancer would take 10+ years to become problematic. He died less than a year later, but before then, he had to live with the knowledge of having cancer.

I was 59 when I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer. In hindsight I wish I had not known about it until much later given it was eight years before I had to have my prostate surgery. Not only do you worry about it in the meantime but the biopsies are painful.

On the other hand, it is better to catch it early rather than not catch it until it is too late!

Guessing it’s a Republican post. But WTF? Surely they had trials or just pleaded guilty.

Some were held without bail pending trial. That’s somehow the same thing as not getting a trial.

This guy is a pretty shit person.

Surprised he didn’t say you are using math which is woke.

From today’s Philadelphia Inquirer

Most of the posts in this thread are about stupid things a Republican is saying. This may well be a stupid thing, but it’s more a “WTF is he saying?” What does he think “binary choice” means?

Or maybe it’s not a Republican issue at all. Perhaps it’s the reporter or editor, who did not include the indented identification of the industry, “agriculture”, within commas.

MTG does a darndest thing.

Unfortunate the video isn’t perfectly framed, because it’s hard to guess from just their bodies… but that certainly looks like MTG kicking somebody who was certainly annoying her and being in the way a bit, but not truly impeding or aggressing.

Interesting that she didn’t kick the man who was facing her for much longer, just the woman who interacted more briefly and then turned away.

there 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don’t

“Grok is left leaning” is interesting, given that Grok is part of Musk’s X platform.

The NYT had a fun column about Grok dissing claim of “white genocide” in SA on one day, that promoting them on the next day.

The columnist thought that Grok had been explicitly told to modify its responses.

Looks like Secretary Noem has a new favorite phrase.
