Republicans Say the Darndest Things!

Republicans in swing districts thinking things are unpopular right now?

A bit older, but new to me:

The greatest choice

This is stupid. The U.S. unilaterally ratchets up trade tensions with countries all over the world and bans the sale of products the U.S. makes that China would like to buy. Then it says it’s up to China to solve the problem.

I mean, they could just drop communism and restore individual liberty to their people, and also reunite but under Taipei rule like it was before Mao ruined everything. /s

It’s not stupid. It’s the art of the deal.

But I suppose your way is a simpler way to describe it.

This appears to be real, barring hacking allegations

I support Trump for Pope if he gives up POTUS role.

Is Trump even a Catholic?

Is Trump even a theist?

He may think himself as a kind of god, if that counts.

He would have to convert and go to a lengthy confession and probably get all his previous marriages annulled and then immediately be ordained. He might also have to break up with Melania (which might make her support his candidacy for pope) although there are a few very specific scenarios in which a guy who is already married can be ordained in the Catholic priesthood.

Summary

(I’m bored.)

Trump doesn’t care about “technicalities”.

White and orange go quite well together.

Isn’t it cool how Trump has twisted the death, funeral, and election of the Catholic Pope to be about Trump. It must be interesting to be a devout Catholic and have all the news you care deeply about be plastered with Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.

It’s a promotion!

It would be interesting were Trump to be theologically infallible.

As opposed to Trump just thinking he is infallible?

For certain values of the word interesting. I have a number of black humor responses that should go untyped.

Trump really demonstrates that he has no concept of service or responsibility.

I’m just guessing the poster is Republican. I was thinking about posting this in the humor thread, thinking it had to be sarcasm. “A fundamental misunderstanding by the entire legal profession”??? Conceivably many could be wrong about something legal, but if the entire profession is in agreement??? Most of the responses seem to agree with him.
